@@@Official Cavs thread 2014-2015@@@

Cleveland fans, why is Waiters not getting any run late in the game and they have Delladova playing? Is Waiters a defensive liability or something because Delladova can't play any defense either.

I'd take an Aaron Brooks career in the league. :dunno:

Shoot, dude gets to play in mad games where ever he goes. Sort of like how Eric Snow did...

Hes grabbing those boards against chicago of all teams...fucking chicago....hes going to get paid!

RoadRage....Love and Thompson beasted the boards when it mattered...you were correct about that shit....

So the Bulls smash the Knicks, the Knicks beat the Cavs, and the Cavs beat the Bulls at home....

hmm... D Rose is missing important time already with lower body injuries... in fucking OCTOBER

A certain little motherfucker has been quiet as shit tonight tho

:smh: Teams are going to exploit Cleveland's lack of defense from their guards. You can't have Irving (who's not a good defender) and that that cac closing out games in playoffs against big time guards :smh:

Tell Tristian hit that 18 footer with consistency before u ninjas start anointing him the next Sam Perkins

Their perimeter defense is pathetic.

The Cavs defense will be ok, they got caught up on a few plays due to poor communication on the pick roll.. Plus there were some huge shots hit by both the bulls and the knicks with the clock running down, but deep in games they have forced big turnovers and forced teams to run out the clock..
But as long as they remain active on the boards, they should have more than enough defense... What they need to work on is cutting down silly turn overs, and freeing shooters on the pick and pop.. Plus they must learn how to utilize their bench, vs specific match up advantages.

Bro, Poppovich and all them elite coaches eyes will light up if they see Irving and that cac closing out games. That's almost as bad as when McHale had Lin and Harden closing out games last year in the playoffs

You just need try and guess which team you and lebron will be running to next BC if these are the 2 best teams in the east the west will be playing just to see who's gonna be destroying them.

To be honest, I wasn't that high on the bulls, but watching them I am convinced that they are a very good team, that can do things most teams in the NBA can't. Right now I think the Cavs, Bulls and Spurs are going to wind up the best teams in the NBA, save injury, with teams like the Clippers, Warriors, Mavs and perhaps the Heat looking to step up..
As for the Cavs you can't judge them until after the all-star game, right now they are now where where they should be..

They forced big turnovers bc Chicago was playing without their best 2 players and Gasol had 2 stupid turnovers towards the end of the 4th. Lebron was driving hole scoring but he stopped and settled for jumpers after Noel came back in the game. They won the game bc Chicago couldn't rebound

The Bulls was supposed to light them up tonight based on last nights performance.. Perimeter defense is about communication, ball and court awareness.. They made a few glaring mistakes, but they were mostly due to communication, towards the end of the game when they needed their stops, they simplified their defense sticking one on one, and forced turnovers with bad shots..
ONce they get familiar with each other, then they should be able to get fancy with their defense..

Stop copping pleas for other teams, your going to need all the excuses your mind can think of for your team..

waiters should def be in down the stretch

The young players have to learn on the fly, sometimes benching can be a great teaching tool... Once they get it, or rather "if" they get it, they should be much better players..
This is also why I said they din't need Wiggins on the roster with all the other young players.

What excuse did I make? Youre gonna need excuses bc looking at this game neither team looked all that good. The cavs should have blown the bulls out in that overtime without their 2 best players. Both teams will play this season just to see who's gonna lose against the west

You already know YOU KNOW when Durant comes back okc will go on a immediate winning streak. You see how he ran through ever winning team in the league last until Westbrook came back

The clippers are supposed to be the 2nd best in the west and for the first two games they look sloppy as fuck... Talk about poor defense.:smh:

I agree with you on communication and court awareness, that part can be coached up throughout the season to make them a little better. The problem still exists that Irving and that cac don't have that innate defensive skill set like a Lebron or a Rajon Rondo type player.

You can mask their defense in the regular season and win 50+ games but the playoffs is a different animal. The spotlight is going to be on Irving's defense now that they're a contender. This is coming from a Rockets fan who saw it first hand with Harden.

Cav's fans better hope that the coach make major adjustments because again, you can't roll out Irving and that cac to defend elite guards in the playoffs.

Oh, and it's very telling if coach trusts that cac's defense over Waiters who's a better athlete/player overall.
