The reason why teams like the Bulls, Pelicans and the Jazz were able to beat the Hawks and G.S. is because they all had the length and the athleticism to disrupt and stay with those jump shooters while not relying on team defensive schemes like a team like the wiz.
If I were the Cavs I would rotate players like LeBron, Irving, Shumpert, and JR on the splash brothers and make them shoot over them , playing them tight, while daring them to put it on the floor and attack the rim..
The Bulls did it, and not once did they respond by attacking the rim, instead they shot poor shot after poor shot from the perimeter..

No this is not based off one game its based on the book on how you disrupt jump shooters, you need length and athleticism to keep up with them. If your team are lacking in either then you need help defense and this plays into the hands of teams like the Hawks and Warriors who can confuse help defences with their pick and rolls and constant ball movement. The other day the 76ers held the Hawks to 35% shooting from the three, in a loss, like the Pelicans (who held them to 31% from the arch) the 6ers also have tall athletic guards and atheletic big men who can protect the paint and crash the boards..
