Official BREAKING BAD Season 4 Discussion Thread 10p SUNDAYS

Man that was a save imo...Walt was sweating bullets the minute he saw the folder...and Hank directing him to the W.W. part and coolly saying Walter White w/o so much as cracking a smile was eery as hell...Hank is a dickhead but he's good @ what he does...he has always been w/in a step of catching Walter redhanded literally...he just has the disadvantage of not knowing who he's really looking for. Walt kinda played himself too asking Hank to share the casework w/ him...that was a lil too obvious imo

Good call, Leroy. That's what I was thinking too. I was half-expecting Hank to say to him - "Nah man, you're currently battling cancer this past year, plus there's been strain on your marriage ... plus all this talk about being ashamed of your gambling addiction ... focus on your own stuff, I'm ok ... I'll be cooped up in this room for awhile with the paralysis and all ..."

Ya Skyler fucked up forcing Walt to "come clean"...Hank already said he figured Heisenberg was some nerdy smart type...now all of a sudden he hears Walt has all this $$$ and buying a carwash out the blue...Hank as a law enforcement agent sees thru lies for a living...Skyler was really fuckin stupid to bring up the $$$...the point where I hated her as bborn said was when she had the intervention...bitch you're not the one w/ cancer!

Leroy - gonna be interesting movie forward with season 4 and all of season 5. Either Skyler's gonna play a huge role in Walter skating off scott-free (which is unlikely) or she'll contribute to his downfall or death. What she really has working for her = her numbers background through work. She can balance the books, etc. But all the added stress of late with the car wash and shit (and it being a former part-time employer of Walt's and all) ... there had to have been another way to hide the money, or launder it ... seems like too complex a business purchase or investment.

Jessie is finally going to die

He's definitely looking like he might get capped this season or next.

jesse wont die cause everybody expects him to die. walter will die skylar will die or jailed.

There's no way in hell Jesse dies...

1)Its too simple...the writers aren't going to give you the simple story...

2)Jesse is the most popular character with his catch phrase "Bitch!" and Gilligan is trying to keep the 5th and last season 13 episodes while AMC may order only 6 episodes...they need Jesse for ratings...if he dies, which I doubt he won't because he's the fan favorite, it won't be until the end of season 5, trust that

Im late as fuck

Now it sucks having to wait a week for a new episode

This show might be better than Dexter

Maybe dexter should tell his sister like walt told his wife

skyler fucked everything up
that's what he gets for listening to her in the first place.
she didn't know what he was doing for how long? now she's trying to thrust herself into the middle of the shit she playing gangsta but she aint got to deal with nothing so honestly she shouldn't be in any of this shit.
coming clean about gambling? i don't get it. if he had a problem with gambling that would mean that they lost their house and they are dead broke and homeless
if a dude is gambling and won enough to buy a car wash and to pay all your medical bills...this dude doesn't have a gambling problem he has a gift.
she's just really fucking shit up trying to be smart.
he had it handled. feed them what they need live modestly and stack money so they won't be broke
all this buying shit etc etc is just retarded. he was fine how he was.

I only care about this show this year, all others True Blood, entourage and Curb can wait later down the week to view, but not Breaking Bad :)

Now when Mad Men & Boardwalk Empire come back that will change.

Walt know something has to been done about Hank. Ether try to cut him in or the more obvious drastic measure (I believe Walt is capable of such an act now even though he love's Hank) As far his situation with Gus, he ether has to take over and become king or die .... I really don't see him quitting and going back to a normal even if he had the option right now, I think Jessie could do it money and that life no longer appeals to him.

peace

1:31 & this
I love how when I talk to anyone about this show. It's always the same thing. "when they gonna kill off jesse?...He is unprofessional and stupid as fuck...why is walt protecting this dumbass?" I think of jesse as the little kid you invite to the grown folks table but you get mad when he starts acting immature at the table....hello there is a reason for his behavior, he isn't there mentally yet but you invited him. Walt not brought him in but he blackmailed jesse to start cooking way back in episode 1 season 1. "we cook, I won't tell my brother in law where you love" he has had his ass beat numerous times, lost his homeboy to the game (by a kid no less), been cut off by his parents, been to rehab, caused his gf to overdose, and finally shot a man between the eyes, all in a years time. He is a knucklehead yes, but is he supposed to be anything other than the stupid fuckup that walt saw climbing out the window? I mean really now, chili p jesse is supposed to be professional? How bout realizing the truth that walt's actions are stemming from the time he realized he had cancer has been one significant fuckup after another? From deciding to cook meth, kill the two dudes, cook more meth, say no to the help from your old gf, beat cancer, then watch your marriage go up in smoke...I can't relate but damn if it ain't the best show on tv!
Says it All

"Your IMBECILITY BEING WHAT it is........."

Mike will probably have Jessie merc & bury the lil blindfolded hopper his damn self since it is HIS business, Fuck all the high & off point thinking shit - shovel & banger handed to Jesse with Mike saying "Handle YOURS/YOUR WEIGHT, BITCH", in attempt to snap him out of his self pity party that have to do with the spoils of the game they play.
The trunk's open, Fam, on second look of that last pic as I just looked @ it after typing this......

& Hank's limitations as a dickhead laughing @ nerdy assed Gale (who was just doing him with the dress up role play karioki video) will always fall short of the new balls & straight ability to out think an everyday man on his feet that Walt has acquired through his trials & tribulations (especially feeling inadequate with the constant reminder that his bitch ran off with his man to make HIS type of $ he feels he always could have from the same if not better brain; leaving him stuck to live a life that led him to cancer & situations he's forced with dealing with)
:lol::lol: @ him speed reading the fuck up out of all them notes, looking for some shit he could use to throw that bloodhound up off of the scent;

yeah Twin, Hank DOES That, but he's also a scared bitch who knows his limitations, needing someone to bully & clown on over being proud to be the best he can be {specifically growing & going to the next level} - will never forget how shook he was of taking that promotion.

Now if that motherfucka's making giant leaps next week to walk, putting 3000% of his efforts in, then we'd might have a different factor to consider as a new Hank is emerging.
Not saying that that shit is easy, but am just saying that Hank's not That ill or as ill as Walt has allowed himself to be; they better find & lose them mofucking shells is all I know

peace

Definitely a great series, and like Vince Gilligan was saying in mid-2010 at one of those tv/writers-type conferences ... the last thing he wanted to do was to have the show eventually jump the shark. All he wanted was for AMC to give them the green light for 4 - 5 seasons ... so that the whole story could be told. As it stands we're gonna get 5 seasons running from 2008 - 2013 or so ... and we're 1/3 the way through season 4. Solid.

i slept on this show... I watched the first 2.5 seasons in the last week with the wife... I never watched so much TV at one time in my life :smh::lol::smh:

We are hooked

damn we all thought walt was a OG meth dealer

but he just lives in a basement posting on BGOL

That's what's so dope about this series. The audience is so vast. We've got the BGOL OGs and new fam' following ... a good core AMC network audience (that dig pretty much all their content) and of course peoples' friends and families. I was listening to some fan podcast the other day and some American dude called in from Japan to give his take on episode 4 :D:lol:

link for podcast please?

I wanna lead off by saying "Cause vegans don't eat fried chicken Hank"
Random thoughts:
finally hearing a name Walt and it have nothing to do with bgol:yes:.....dry character development episode (reminded me of the fly episode) but obviously sets some more up for the last half of the season...is walt gonna blame his eventual downfall on the alcohol?

Is this the last season of breaking bad?

And jesse is a dumb fuck

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/14/breaking-bad-to-stay-on-amc_n_926790.html

AMC and Sony TV, the parent network and production company of the hit drama, "Breaking Bad," have come to an agreement that will keep the series on the cabler through the duration of its run. Stuck in protracted negotiations and facing a Monday series license expiration, Deadline reports that the two sides have reached a deal that will see the final 16 episodes air on AMC, potentially over two separate seasons.

what was the name of that song with the latina chick rapping in Spanish?
played during the time lapse scenes while Jessie was waiting by the car

how they go from making us think they gonna kill pinkman to training him to become a killer?

Naw I think thats Gus's plan to get Jessie from under Walt and sow the seed of dissension between the two in an effort to take Walt out at some point.

Gus hasn't in any forgot about getting Walt he's just forced to take a different tact.

this..and for some reason I think Walt wants to get caught now. He didnt take too well with Hank crowning the guy as a genius which led him to opening his mouth and made Hank re-interested in the case again.dumb move.:smh:

i dont think the old man gonna let that happen tho..u peeped how he looked at gus when gus stepped out his car..am thinking pinkman gonna replace the old man

Definite dumb move but I don't think he wants to get caught, I just think he hates that he can't have the recognition and glory that comes with being so great at what he does eats at him.

I think Walt feels emasculated most of the time, particularly in this episode because he was being pushed around a lot and not given any respect. They kidnapped Jessie, wouldn't say where he was going or what he was doing, made him go back to work, his wife fucks him and then decides (for him) not only is he moving back in but gives their son the day without consulting him, his son was drinking out of a coffee cup that I believe had the name of his wifes ex-employer on it (the one she had an affair with) and then it gets topped off with Gayle being given all his credit. Those feelings and that alcohol pushed him over the edge.

This in addition to the fact that Hank was bragging about and giving all that credit to the person who was suppose to be good enough to replace him and who he taught. For Walt it would probably be like if you taught someone everything they know and they go out and become rich and famous while you still are living in a shitty apartment.

Naw you notice Gus doesn't tell him anything. I think thats what the look is about. He may either be in awe so to speak or is pissed at having to do all that dirty work for nothing and not even be respected enough to be included in the plan.

Like I said I think they are just trying to build Jesse up so that he won't be under Walt and it can create a rift between the two.

I didn't piece all that together while watching the show but you're absolutely right..couldn't have said it any better. Walt might end up doing something stupid so he can get the respect that he feels that he deserves.

smh@walt .... he's not really makin' any smart moves this season.. looks like gale's murder is weighin' on his conscience more than jesse's ...

hank was ready to let that case go and say that gale was heisenberg ... and walt decides NOW is the time to start takin' credit for his work ... now hank is about to go hard on this case after findin' that pollo napkin ...

gus is still that dude.... he found a way to make sure he maintains control of walt and jesse without delayin' production... he wants to fire/kill walt but he can't ... he wants to get rid of jesse and keep walt.. but he can't ...

so he splits them up.. and uses the stick on walt by makin' a 45-year old man have to do a two man job by himself...although apparently he wasn't THAT tired.. and he uses the carrot on jesse makin' him look like a hero and buildin' up his self-esteem ...

since gus can't eliminate jesse .. he finds a way to make him act right ...and simultaneously gains jesse's trust and loyalty .. and finds out if jesse will be loyal and trustworthy in return....

and gus knows jesse used to cook meth on his own... and he's been walt's partner for a few years now... so he knows walt's recipe ...

gus is gonna try to get rid of walter .. and replace him with jesse ....

i bet in the season finale .. jesse is gonna have to decide between gus & mike or walt ...

on another note ... what was up with that look that walt gave walt jr. .. when walt jr. told him that skyler said walt was movin' back in next tuesday .. before walt had agreed to it...

to me...it was a look like "oh, this bitch arranges the purchase of one lousy carwash and now she thinks she's callin' the shots in this muthafucka?!" ....

No doubt but Walt already did something stupid to get the credit he deserved. And that put Hank onto the chicken spot (and Gus) which will bring the whole shit down but will eventually probably save Walts ass in either this season or next.

The writing on this show is brilliant.
