Official BREAKING BAD Season 4 Discussion Thread 10p SUNDAYS

not reading this thrad because I just heard about this show.....

watching back episodes on netflix right now

28 to go before new season...lol

Good shit, bro. Stick with the series. It will grow on you. And the 3rd season from 2010 was DOPE. The ratings have grown every year for this series from 2008 - present. It has a strong following and many BGOL'ers are tuning in

The crazy thing too is how Walt and Jesse have basically been joined at the hip as the past "year" of the story has played out (from seasons 1 - 3 in 2008 to 2011). Like Walt Jr' said to his dad - he liked the fact that he had a personal talk with his dad the night before because he was actually present and "REAL" ... as he's been distant and gone for the most part with all his drug game shit & the parents' break-up. The kid has lost touch with his dad and was upset about him having missed his 16th birthday party (or dinner) the day prior. Kid was worried about him ... still thinking his dad's cancer was still in remission, and that the main focus was still his dad's "GAMBLING ADDICTION" (per the lie Walt told Walt Jr' / Hank / Mary at the dinner earlier in the season).

I'm walking muthafuckas down, been watching this nonstop for the past 2 weeks

I'm on episode 5 now

Season 1, Episode 5?

Or

Season 4, Episode 5?

Either way ... you're in for a treat with this series, bro. Shit has gotten better and better over time as they've built everything up. Season 3 and 4 have delivered like mutual muthafuckas.

:eek::yes::lol:

The show is just as much about dialogue as it is action.

The story served a purpose I believe which is after the altercation with Jesse and the conversation with his son about how he's changed in the past year Walt is going to start to get his shit together.

Yep; I see Walt trying to now save Jesse and get him out of Guys's clutches; Before, Walt was about his own survival, but now, its gonna be about all the supporting cast's survival I think, but I have been wrong in the past on this show...these damn writers are good!

Season 4 of course

Walt has never been about all about his own survival, he has always looked out for Jesse.

So I'm guessing if Pollo had not taken the first step to kill off the kartel he and Gus would have never made it back home.

Anyone notice that girl on Jesse's lap at Cartel pool scene?  She needed one more scene. Cut a Skylar scene  I think we are all in agreement on this one.

Damn she is such a hypocrite.

I understand her anger but Walt is loyal to his family to a fault..

she goes and gives this dude over a half a million and look what HE does.

Walt was saving EVERY PENNY for her and his son:smh:

I don't like Walk getting the beatdowns on the regular, but understand what the writers are showing the audience.

Also I'm conflicted I love that Jesse is maturing but his lack of loyalty to Walt who always treated Jesse like his SON bothers me.

Even Jesse, whose relationship with his own parents is shit, I thought would appreciate Walt on that level.

I got a feeling there is going to be a major death this season (especially because AMC doesn't have the money to keep the series beyond next year).

Damn imagine if HBO had MAd Men, Walking Dead and Breaking Bad with a PROPER budget and NO RESTRICTIONS?

Ted has to die. Dude is a complete tool and I feel like he's gonna try to switch it on skylar to blackmail her for more money or sex.

Walt is gonna get his shit together dude's biggest problem was he didn't know how to chill he's never known how to chill. But shit is heating up. I think he is gonna try to run from the bed he made and then come to the conclusion he's in too deep. Also I think the cancer is back.

Mike may die and Jesse may take his place. This in turn may allow Gus, Walt, and jesse to finally see eye to eye and realize they have bigger problems than each other. They're is no reason for Walt and Gus to fight in Gus doesn't want to kill Jesse. The problem Walt had was he didn't understand that The threat was gone. Business is Business and walt still makes 99% pure even if Jesse can make 96%.

Or that chunkier, lighter-skinned broad with the big ass walking in the string black swimsuit. She could have caught fuckage too. Didn't her her face, but the ass was alright

Maybe not they still had the distribution routes and the beef to me seemed to be based on the fact that they weren't sharing the blue meth. I don't think Don Eladio knew Gus was involved with all those Cartel members Murders. I mean he didn't trust him based on their obvious history (pollo's brothers murder) and the war they had. But I don't think he would of let Pollo rock like that if he knew he was a real threat or if he planned to kill him.

funny thing is his Dad was LYING HIS OFF ABOUT the addiction and this kid thinks his father is showing his trusting and vulnerable side:lol:

There is NOT ONE BAD ACTOR on this show I tell you watch AMC f'ck this up and they go over to Showtime or HBO:yes:

True - everyone's pulling their weight in this series, even those with smaller roles. Everyone's game is on.

Yeah - AMC has a winning track record with their shows in recent years. THE WALKING DEAD / BREAKING BAD / MAD MEN / THE KILLING / ETC. Sony Pictures distributes the show to AMC, so hopefully both parties don't fuck shit up. We've still got 8 episodes of season 5, and 8 episodes of season 6 to go after the final 3 episodes here in 13-episode long 4th season at present.

Kartel was going to kill Pollo, thats why Gus said either we are all leaving together or none of us are going home. Kartel like to play mind games and let their prey get comfortable before they slit their throat, just like that flashback with the young Pollo.

Y'all buggin. Walt is the biggest asshole on the show. Walt's ego and pride is his downfall. That's why he slipped up and called his son Jesse. He's carrying that guilt. Walt treats Jesse like a son???? Please. Jesse NEEDs walt to be that, but walt betrayed Jesse long ago. walt's constant ignorance, belittling, and mistrust has driven a wedge that didnt take take much for Gus and mike to fill. Walt is an evil fuckin dude who is poisonous to the touch. That said, the acting is just mind boggling good all round.

Walt don't give a fuck about anybody but walt, and masks his pride and hubris behind this delusional truth that he's sacrificing for his family.

That speech about his dad that he gave to his son?? Wow. I thought his speech "the one who knocks" was beast, but the acting in that last monologue? Fire.

Love this fucking show.

I assumed mike said that because he knew the plan was to kill everyone with poison. Though you may be right it just seems like a lot of trouble to keep them around only to kill them at the party. I mean they had even invited whores, but considering the Don's act during the flashback it was a possibility.

Even then though the whole thing about having to put Gus in his place and it being only business makes me think that the cartel was planning to let mike and Gus go back to just being their American distributers now that the cartel could takeover production again.

I'm caught up bitches

This is the best show on TV along with Luther and Dexter

I'm interested in where it's going, because of how unpredictable it is

hacienda scene was epic. gustav went in meek and came out a boss
what was the line, there is no one left to fight for, fill your pockets and leave
or fight me and die.

seems everyone stepping up except walt. even his wife on a power trip.
