Honestly, you can’t prepare for Shakur. Dude is content with being a “boxer” and not a “fighter”.
To win off points you have to be extremely skilled with cat like reflexes, great visual acuity to see punches and a high Boxing IQ. Plus the boxing gods gifted him with long monkey arms. Giving him crazy range with risk of being hit.
Like Floyd did, he frustrates boxers because which is funny to watch.

When it's easy u suppose to land punches easily right? So why he can't seem to do that consistently. He hardly ever land combinations.

Zepeda made Shakur fight because he pressed him. You want him to be careless and give a fighter clearly outclassed a chance to land some lucky shit to be excited.

The real issue is that there aren't as many great matchups as there used to be, and every fight is pay-per-view.
I grew up when there were fights on every weekend on CBS, NBC and ABC. You followed fighters from golden gloves to olympics and the pro....ad fights is what demanded matchups.

Did you think Floyd didn't land a lot of punches? Cause Floyd averaged 17 punches per round landed. Shakur is at 14. He lands punches. Just not the kind you wanna see.
Tank is at 14 punches per round. Haney is 13 per round. So who lands punches to you?
Floyd was safety first after moving up in weight..When he was getting mofokrs out of there was in lighter weight classes. And he had numerous hand injuries.
Shakur also has had numerous hand injuries .
Shakur has also always been a defensive fighter who is a great counterpuncher. He makes you pay fr aggession.
If the opponent isn't aggressive, there is nothing to counter.
If you punch hard enough, then you take that aggression away. Obviously, that is the case because you don't see his opponents taking chances so be countered..
if that was not the case, then fighters would be walking through his jabs and punches, but they don't, and end fights looking like Teo.
