I think bud messing with us talking about retirment when he was supposed to have his next boxing match in march next year.
He's no longer #1 after getting getting his belts stripped.
I mean he still has plenty left in the tank not being in his 40s yet.
He could easily surpass maywheather staying undefeated.

Even with one belt stripped he still had 3 other belts plus was still considered the Lineal Champ at 168. Even though the ring magazine is bullshit now the only thing they do right is still set lineage in the weight classes and give the ring belt to the #1 fighter in the division. He was still considered #1 pound for pound and #1 at 168 with one belt taken.
At the time he beat Canelo, canelo was undisputed plus the Lineal Champ. When he fought Spence, Spence was the WBC, WBA, and IBF champ plus the Lineal champ at 147, while Bud was the WBO champ and #2 fighter at 147.
Them sanctioning bodies just strip and then give certain fighters paper or email belts to get the sanctioning fees instead of letting them settle it in the ring against another champ or contender.

Dude is 38 which is old in boxing years with nothing to prove and became undisputed in 3 weight classes which had never been done. dude done cashed out the last 3 years and made money to set his family for life along with knocking off the so called big dogs by dominating them when he was the underdog.

Also, bud is a smart fighter and knows how to adapt and prepare to fight his opponent along with that power he has. So, it's not easy to knock him out.

Tank ain't 38 and Tank is talented as fuck, had plenty top fighters to fight near his weight class and is the money man but the best people on hos resume are pitbull and Ryan Garcia which is trash.

Like I've said before, if this is truly the end, then congrats to him and well deserved.
Just weird timing that nobody saw coming and there will be a lot of speculation about his retirement since got stripped of his belt.
He beat all odds and beyond.
ALso, his break through was him fighting spence that he finally got his respect while continuing to win in different weight classes.
