Official Boxing Thread

One of the best fights of the year, Benavidez is very talented but he's got to tighten some things up and fine tune the fundamentals, not sure if staying with pops as his trainer is the best move for the long haul.

Very good Showtime card on right now being headlined by imo the best 168lber in the world David Benavidez. I've seen him fight before but Caleb Plant is really an oddity as a white boxer, ain't never seen a white boy box like this, lol.

The card was trash to me. Quillin struggled with a 20+ loss scrub, Plant goes the distance with a Jr Middleweight on less than a week's notice, J'leon was once again lackluster. The only good fight was the main event.

That was a bad loss Boss...the kind of loss that stays with you...plus, fighters with Chocolatito's style tend to lose it fast when they lose it
But the littler guys wouldn't hurt him. HBO just showed him walking after the fight like Adrian Broner after maidana.

They might start hurting him now though...sometimes that self belief pushes you through the pain because you know you gonna get your opponent..Chocolatito's style is probably the most self-belief dependent in boxing...constantly attacking, knowing you will out fight and out heart your opponent...he just got knocked the fuck out...I think he will have a rough time going forward if he continues even if he goes down in weight

If he continues they are going to have to give him a few soft touches to get his confidence up.

But leave that dude that knocked him out alone.

damn hated seeing chocolatito go out like this but damn

monster is the truth and cuadras-estrada was outstanding

dope ass card

I got Canelo for the win.

And I didn't know Willie Monroe was fighting Saunders. Gotta catch that one online somewhere!!!

No hype for this fight? This is the fight of the year! This is boxing! Neither fighter is a scrub. There are gonna be few slow rounds after the first, and that might even be fire. I think GGG comes out and takes it to him with the jab and tries to back him up, bully him. I see Canelo fighting off ego and walking into something. GGG is gonna work down-up-down. He's not even gonna worry about Canelo's attacks because GGG works from a shell until he opens up for flurries. I say the volume gets to Canelo, and GGG ends it in 6 or 7.

I see the same. No way Canelo will last all 12 rounds. I don't think has the inside fight game to trouble GGG.

That's why they feared Ward. He would have been killing GGG with the inside game.
