I used to hate hearing Harold Lederman say, if it's ruled a knockdown you must score it a 10-8 round. That's what judges are for. I've seen fighters knocked down and clearly wobbled and refs have called it a slip. I've seen fighters that have slipped and been called a knock down. I've seen fighters that have been battered for 3 minutes but never went down and Lederman has scored it 10-9. I've seen fighters that have been battered for 2:50 and score a flash knock down and been given the round. if I'm watching a fight and the ref calls a punch that landed on the shoulder followed by a push a knockdown, I'm not scoring that round 10-8. Same goes for someone that's clearly hurt by a punch, went down but the ref says slip, I'm going to score that the way I see it. Since they only ever use three points in the scoring, it should be the 5 point must system.I believe it is official at this time. WBC has changed the 10 point scoring.
1. Anytime a fighter gets knocked down by their opponent, that is AUTOMATICALLY ruled a 10-8 score
Who's gonna beat him? Is he ducking anybody?I know y'all falling for the ESPN hype machine but Inoue is overrated as fuck. Top Rank/ ESPN is purposely putting him in there with guys who stand right in front of him and will try to bang. It's great TV/great theater but once he fights a real opponent he's going to get put to sleep.
Twice in his last four fights he's got dropped by the same left hook from a huge underdog. Great fighters don't get dropped by dogs. Sunday night he was also getting hurt to the body bad. All it's going to take is a fighter with some talent who can box. Hell he's only really fought an old Donaire.
