I think Shakur is really talented but I think Ramirez also has the skills to be really good in the pros and key thing is his life outside the ring, I've been following him on IG and since he defected from Cuba to Miami all he's been doing is models and bottles in that Miami nightlife, just had twins recently so he's got 3 kids at 25 before his 1st pro fight. One thing about Ramirez is he seems to have more personality/charisma than the usual cuban boxer so I think if he starts winning he can actually be a star and draw money

Hate to say it but thats where I'm at too. I see a lot of folks going googly eyed of Stevenson. I like the kid but I gotta see him in the ring with Ramirez on a pro level before I buy his stock.

Well in that case, I hope he can speak English. lol

Reporter Tried To Get Both Pulev and Arum Sanctioned

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, the California State Athletic Commission lifted the suspension of heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev, who kissed a reporter without her consent during a post-fight interview after he completed a sexual harassment course and paid a $2,500 fine.

The CSAC voted unanimously to allow Pulev to reapply for his license with the caveat that future offenses would result in a lifetime ban from fighting in North America.
Pulev was suspended in March after he grabbed Jenny Ravalo’s head in his hands and planted a kiss on her lips following his knockout of Bogdan Dinu.

He apologized to Ravalo before the commission voted. He said it was not sexual but an emotional reaction to his victory.

Ravalo said that’s not OK. She said she has been bullied online by thousands for speaking up and claims to have been slandered by Pulev’s promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank.

“Mr. Arum cares little about sexual harassment at all,” Ravalo told the commission before the vote, noting that he recently said he did not believe “that a 6-foot-4, 250-pound boxer grabbing the face of a 5-foot-2 reporter and forcibly kissing her with his bloody mouth was sexual harassment. I would like to see if he would think differently if a large, bloody man did the same to him without his consent.”

Ravalo, through her lawyer, Gloria Allred, asked the commission to sanction both Pulev and Arum.

In response, the commission said Arum also participated in a sexual harassment remediation class with Pulev and appeared to have learned something.

Pulev agreed to participate in a video campaign about sexual harassment that the commission is considering doing. He said it would be important for people to know that such behavior is not correct “because a lot of people like me don’t know.”

Damn...saw this man literally get beat to death. Wonder if ESPN will change how they broadcast fights. I felt at the time that they didn't need to be following him out of the ring into the backstage area like this is WWE.

Just debuted as a pro 3 years ago, only 14 fights, 85% of them KO's with minimal damage taken and this is the end result of his first and now only ever loss. He actually won a couple of the early rounds but was clearly losing the fight by the time the towel was thrown

Atlas throwing hints that Manny is on the juice....

Can't stand the Atlas grandstanding, but even if Pac gets caught nobody will care. Canelo, Fury, Ortiz, Stiverne, Salido, Ray Beltran etc have all been caught, and it got swept under the rug.

Boxing really needs to tighten up on their suspensions/dealings with boxers that get caught with illegal substances in their system. 'Oh, this is blood pressure medication' or 'Oh I ate wild board' reasons shouldn't fly under any circumstance.

You test positive, and your license should be revoked for at least 1 year. Boxing is too brutal a sport for guys to walk into the ring juiced up.

Atlas throwing hints that Manny is on the juice....

Pac looked too good for his own good....40 year old all time great beating current younger champion is okay and not unheard of...40 year old all time great bouncing around with "like the good old days" footwork making current younger champion look slow makes you say hmmm...if he was clean it was a hell of a feat...shit, if he aint clean its still impressive although obviously less so

@tpotda I meant to ask you Saturday night, after Whyte’s performance against Rivas, do you still have him in your top 5? When he gets in the Ring with Wilder, he’s cooked.

Yeah I got him still at the 4th spot where I had him, I would love to see him fight Wilder but I personally think Fury will beat Wilder in the rematch. Now in a Whyte vs Wilder fight I'd favor Wilder just because of his power in that right hand but Whyte has power in that left hook if he can land it and if he can work the body on Wilder he can have Wilder in trouble. I'm a big fan of Whyte and def have him over AJ currently until AJ shows something diff in the Ruiz rematch. Eddie Hearn is begging WBC to enforce the mandatory because right now PBC has the heavyweight division on lock. I still love the Brit HW division currently tho 3 of the top 5 on my list are Brits. At least until we can see what this dude Usyk does at HW, he seem to want all the static there.

I hope he doesn't get one. Let him fight the winner of Spence/Porter or if he wants to avenge a loss go fight Jeff Horn.
Yep.
The fight is meaningless.
What's the point of two 40+ men fighting again?
Floyd hasn't had a REAL fight with a REAL camp since 2015.
He's already said multiple times that he doesn't have the desire to go through another rigorous training camp.
I wish they'd stop and with the non-sense and let the current 147 scenario shake out.

World Boxing News spent time in Las Vegas for the Manny Pacquiao fight over the weekend and learned of some important news regarding the future of Billy Joe Saunders.

Completely ratified and one hundred percent correct information was passed on that Saunders is considering switching promoters.

WBN heard Saunders has a MASSIVE $30 MILLION-PLUS OFFER in his possession. And that his long-standing ties with current handler allegedly have come under threat.

Who the deal is from remains a mystery at this time. WBN understands it could be a significant game-changer for Saunders.

The WBO super-middleweight champion and formerly belt holder at 160 pounds, now has a huge decision to make on his next move.

Lucrative fights are in the offing in what is a packed division. Battles against the top names are hanging in the balance.

It’s no secret Saunders has been calling out the biggest players for some time, whilst consistently being linked to a rematch with Chris Eubank Jr.

Everything will come to a head over the next few days. WBN believes an announcement from Saunders is on the cards for next week.

He just passed away. :(
Damn that was fucked up. :smh:

Manny's post is retarded anyway. Wasn't it a Mayweather promoted fight? Of course he's going to be there. Any anytime they see Floyd they will ask him about Manny and vice versa. It's been that way for decades. Pacquiao fans are so fucking delusional that they expect his opponents to give him a rematch until they get a result that pleases them. Go chase Horn or Marquez then.

Goddayumn. Floyd with ether this morning:

zab-judah_2.jpg

TMZ Sports, Zab Judah has launched his own investigation into his June 7 fight with Cletus Seldin - which left Zab hospitalized with a brain bleed.

Back in February of 2017, in an out of competition test, Seldin tested positive for high levels of testosterone and he also came up positive for the banned anabolic steroid stanozolol. A few months later he once again tested positive for high levels of testosterone, which caused a planned fight for June of that year to get canceled.

This is precisely the stuff I was talking about just a few posts up. Not saying Seldin is guilty of juicing for the Zab fight, but he's tested dirty in the past.

Also, Zab's lawyer and team requested to see the results of his opponent's blood/urine samples, but the Oneida Commission has yet to provide Zab's team with screening results.

Floyd is responding too much. We are about to get MayPac2 whether we want it or not

He has a 3 fight deal with Haymon and 2 are out of the way. He also said he's not fighting the rest of the year. They would have plenty of time for a build up.

They could also have on one of those Mexican holidays to piss of Canelo. I would prefer he unify with the Porter/Spence winner. Pacquiao claims he's going to be at that fight.

Yooooooooooooooooo

Did this ninja Dillian Whyte just get banned for pissing hot? Or is this fake news????

Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance

By Thomas Hauser

Multiple sources have confirmed that an "A" sample taken from Dillian Whyte tested positive for one or more banned substances prior to Whyte's July 20 fight in London against Oscar Rivas. Although Whyte is in the World Boxing Council Clean Boxing Program which is administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), the test in question was administered by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD).

The positive test result is believed to have come back on July 17. A knowledgeable source says that it was reported to the Whyte camp (including promoter Matchroom Boxing) and the British Boxing Board of Control by UKAD prior to Whyte-Rivas. However, the BBBC allowed the fight to proceed as scheduled.

Under rules in place in the United Kingdom, Whyte has a right of appeal. UKAD takes the position that, until the adjudication process is over and due process is complete, there has not been a finding that a fighter is in breach of its PED protocols and no sanctions can be put in place by the British Boxing Board of Control.

dillian-whyte%20(1)_8.jpg

The adjudication process often begins with the testing of a fighter's "B" sample, which can generally be done in 24 to 48 hours. But it often drags on for more than a year. The National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP), an independent entity, is responsible for the final adjudication of PED disputes.

Whyte was previously suspended from competition for two years after testing positive for Methylhexaneamine following his fourth-round knockout of Sandor Balogh on October 13, 2012.

Whyte-Rivas was for the World Boxing Council "interim" world heavyweight title. Whyte weighed in for the fight at an unusually heavy 259 pounds and was knocked down in the ninth round but won a 115-112, 115-112, 116-111 decision.

Under VADA protocols, the positive test result would have been reported to the World Boxing Council and Rivas camp. That appears to have not been the case in this instance with UKAD.

By virtue of his win, Whyte became the "mandatory" challenger for Deontay Wilder's WBC heavyweight crown. In all likelihood, the WBC would have withdrawn its sanction of Whyte-Rivas had it been aware of the positive test result prior to the fight.

It has been widely speculated that the WBC will elevate Wilder to "franchise champion" status, thus eliminating the mandatory requirement that he fight Whyte. This latest development might further complicate Whyte's path to a fight against Wilder.

I cant imagine a US state commission sanctioning a fight if it knew about a positive drug test a few days in advance. Especially if something happened to Rivas, the liability on Matchroom and BBBC wouldve been huge. Thank GOD…
