Eagles vs Broncos: Strengths and WeaknessesThe Broncos record at 2-2 is a bit deceiving. They don’t have a quality win, but they lost two close games to two good teams — Rams and Colts — and have an impressive roster. What is especially impressive about the Broncos is their offensive and defensive line. There is an argument that no NFL team has had better line play so far this season. The offensive line hasn’t been responsible for a single sack. Their defensive line is 1st in sacks, 1st in QB hits and 3rd in hurries. Their elite line play so far presents a very rare situation for the Eagles — an argument a team they are playing actually might have better line play overall than they do.As a result of dominating on the lines the Broncos have an elite running game and an elite defense. On defense they have a stacked DLine and a very good secondary, headlined by arguably the best cornerback in the NFL in Patrick Surtain. The Broncos are 3rd in points per drive, 3rd in 3rd Down defense and 1st in red zone defense. The Eagles 100% red zone offense vs. the Broncos top red zone defense is going to be a fascinating matchup to watch. The bad news for the Broncos is their weakest point is at the most important position in the game — quarterback. Bo Nix has potential, but as of now he is still a young quarterback that turns the ball over at a high rate. He has the 5th most turnover worthy plays in the NFL and four interceptions in four games. Still, this is a tough matchup. It also isn’t a good week to need to get the ball to a certain No. 1 WR. The Eagles have to hope that Vic Fangio’s defense can make Nix’s day a long one. If they don’t the Broncos are very capable of winning this game.
This will be a tough matchup, I gotta give the broncos some respect since they have a good DL & OL. This will be a good game regardless.
