From what I've gathered up to this point: #70 Skipper had designated as eligible at points in the game... but on the 2-Pt play the Lions tried to be slick and send THREE OL to the refs to confuse DAL.

#68 Decker probably DID say something to the ref to check in as eligible,
but #58 Sewell over there for no reason other than being in the way,
..and then #70 Skipper running on last minute adding to the fire drill probably only confused the ref more (as made obvious by the fact that the refs announced #70 Skipper as eligible on the play, rather than #68 Decker):

The issue is the refs were told about this play prior to game and that #68 might be checking in on 2-point conversions. Refs blew the call....badly!

Well, they announced that 70 was the eligible receiver. Not 68. So the defense had no reason to cover 68.

So we don't know if the defense knew 68 was eligible if they would have covered him or not. i.e would've should've could've.
