The Ravens mentality is if you give him weapons and he has crazy numbers then he has to get paid more than what they dont want to pay him now. If you give him mediocre weapons, with a so so performance then Lamar is the problem.

I don't understand the request for a trade. He could be negotiating with other teams right now(which is what an agent would be doing). If nobody is willing to give him what he wants, than he needs to adjust his expectations. It will be interesting to see if a team does give him a fully-guaranreed 5 year deal.
Maybe he's doing it to let the Ravens know it's not in their best interest to match any offer, and to tell other teams that he really wants out, so feel free to make offers.
