Vikings 21 div titles and no Super bowl win. Giants 8 div titles and 4 Super bowl wins.

Consistency vs high peaks and low valleys for long periods.

Can't have it both ways. As a football fan, I would rather enjoy watching a team with a winning record most seasons, then seeing them have the majority losing seasons, and winning a SB once a decade.

I would rather be an Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys, Seahawks, or Packers fan, than a Tampa Bay or Giants fan, for sure. Even though TB and Giants have won more SBs this century.

@CurtDawg - he playing some this year. Might be Deebo’s last year

Quick update & outlook for fantasy owners:
This season the 49ers will do more passing than running
They usually have a top 10 running offense, with a bottom 10 passing offense
But seems like this year it will be more balanced with more 3 WR sets

Deebo & Aiyuk on the outsides
And the rookie WR will be in the slot
But he'll also have to split reps with Jauan Jennings
So don't expect a monster rookie season or anything crazy like that
Probably something like 500-600 yards with 2-3 TD's, since he's splitting reps in the slot with Jennings this year
Think in terms of how Wes Welker & Julian Edelman helped Brady

And I'm thinking Brock Purdy will probably have like 4,500--5,000 passing yards this year
People are gonna be sleeping on him this year
But I think Purdy will put up some big numbers

Trying to decide if I should pick Ricly for FFL

Probably not fam :dunno:
Take a look at my above post
Pearsall will be like the #5 receiving option
Behind.....Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, Jennings

Pick up Purdy though, he'll spread the ball around
And probably have like 4500--5000 yards passing, with 35--39 TD's

Good information CUZ.

For fantasy purposes, I am definitely targeting Purdy and Love as QBs in my FLs.

He definitely splitting with JJ this year, but he will be a good target in dynasty football leagues.

That’s interesting you see them as a passing team this year. Yeah I got a lot of work ahead of myself when I get into full fantasy mode.

Yeah fam, back in the day we leaned heavy on the run game b/c Shannahan did not fully trust Garoppolo
But Purdy has already proven he's a better QB
So keep in mind.....

1. Almost all of the 49ers offensive players are returning from last year
(Except our punt/kick returner RayRay McCloud, who muffed that return in the Superbowl)
2. Purdy did not even have a full offseason, since he was coming off elbow surgery
He didn't even start practicing & competing with Trey Lance until right before preseason
So Purdy was a little rusty the first few weeks of the regular season
Dude now has a full offseason to train & fine tune his game
3. But yet he still put up 4,280 yards with 31 TD's
And that was with sitting out the last game, week 17
If you look at his passing attempts (444), it was like 100 attempts less than most other starting QB's

4. But on the flip side I can see McCaffrey's numbers dropping a little bit this coming season
I'm thinking the 9ers could have like, rushing offense ranked 8-10
And passing offense ranked 10-12
Much more balanced, and not quite as lopsided as in previous years

Damn I forgot about #2

Makes sense to manage CMC workload. I was surprised he didn’t get hurt like he would in Carolina.

Any noise about Isaac?

And I almost forgot this.....

5. This is essentially Purdy's "contract year" right before his big payday
So it's going to look really bad if he has worse numbers than last year
Then if that happens, you know the media will start their bullshit narrative
"Purdy is just a system QB, only a game manager bullshit"
Shannahan won't have his golden boy looking bad, before his big upcoming contract

They're going to catch some teams off guard the first few games of the season
Ninjas will be gearing up to stop McCaffrey & the run game
While Purdy will be be throwing it over their heads

But nah, I think Isaac Guerendo will only have a few touches a game
Probably just in garbage time or to give McCaffrey a breather

I wonder will Purdy give them a discount?

You don’t think in a weird scenario in 2 years CMC gets shipped out and Issac takes over?

Yeah I've thought about that scenario as well
McCaffrey is about to turn 28 yrs old next month
So what happens in 2 years, when we have to give him another contract :dunno:
At that point he will be about to turn 30 years old

Yeah and as good as CMC is, 30 year old RBs don’t get contracts. It will be interesting if they do anything with him after this season and spending a 4th round on RB kinda raised my eye.

Barry sanders bounced cause he completely thought different than you.. I’ll take the greatest rb of all time opinion about how not going nowhere or not smelling a superbowl appearance ever is not better than being on a team that wins a Super Bowl every decade

I clearly said, "As a football fan", not as a player.

We are fans, not players. We want to see good football every Sunday, not once every Blue Moon.

SB ring is for the players, fans and spend money and time watching every single week, and the offseason. True fans invest too much time, to watch a team win one important game, every 10 or 15 years.

No argument from me I'm just saying there is no correlation with winning a division title and winning a super bowl.

I enjoyed the Bills going to 4 straight super bowls, thats a very remarkable feat. But if you ask a Bills fan they would rather of had one of those a win than losing all 4.
