Jonathan Kuminga, without Curry, proved that he is a capable scorer, but showed that he is limited from an all-around standpoint and ultimately, Warriors won NO games while featuring him. It's not to say he didn't provide the team value - he did. But being a contending piece requires more than just being a scorer.
His defense, rebounding, consistent grit and fight simply aren't there. He can thrive as an NBA player on a team that doesn't require him to have these traits because not all NBA players are meant to play at the highest level of competition in the playoffs.
Warriors sacrificed the last 3 years to keep a player in rotation that was never going to help them win a title because Joe Lacob is a stubborn fool who was willing to jeopardize Curry's timeline to see what the future "might" look like. Within the context of having a player of Curry's caliber, Lacob is the worst owner you've ever seen in your life. He doesn't deserve to own the most valuable NBA team because he didn't protect the guy who made it become what it is.
The best thing that can happen now is for Lacob to take his hands off the team, let Dunleavy get whatever value he can through trades, and forever be done with this "future" garbage until Curry retires. This trash FO owes Curry at least that much. Best of luck to Kuminga, but I suspect he will be a non-impact player putting up numbers on a bad team for years to come before fizzling out of the NBA
