Official 2014 NBA Playoffs thread

:confused::confused::confused::confused:

you cant be serious fam

Russ has to be your cousin or some shit the way youve been riding for his erratic ass

:smh: I guess so.

It ain't riding for him. It's me speaking out about misconceptions. I do the same for lots of players in the nba.

When people try to shit on bosh i say something

when people try to play melo i say something too.

when people used to try to play lebron on here i say something too.

The only reason it's being talked about now is because they're playing. If it were other players playing and someone said some lazy narrative stuff about them, i would be right there stating my opinion on that too.

Now with all of that being said did tony parker come into the nba knowing how to do this or was he coached and molded into the player he became using the talent he already had?

and has westbrook received such instruction from scott brooks at any point during his career?

that is my entire point.

if pop was westbrook coach from rookie season to now, what would westbrook look like?

Pop would have never made a push for Westbrook in the first place. He makes it a point to stay away from selfish, impulsive players.

but the arguments youre making arent valid for pgs

Russ isnt on Tonys level, man

Now he's a far better 2 guard than tony and if Brooks had any damn sense thats where he needs to play

How aren't they valid? Coaching makes HUGE difference. like i said, tony didn't come into the nba with this i.q. and ability to run the offense the way he does. he was raw and talented and pop coached him up.

i never said anything about who's level or who's better. i said, the entire difference is coaching and instruction.

the double standard for production is just incredible. when stats come out they don't matter, but if he was throwing 2 assists a game they would suddenly be valid.

k.d. and russell and ibaka and harden, have been getting by on talent alone. they have not been coached. it's why all of them take bad shots all of them have high turnover rates and all of them just do what they want. no type of structure. harden went from okc to the rockets doing the same damn thing.

I acknowledge coaching is a huge part of the problem in OKC. Huge. And its actually not a horrible comparison because Parker was rode hard and molded by Pop and taught how to play the position. I remember entering his third year they were trying to trade for Kidd and had plans to get him in free agency before Parker got his shit together.

To answer your question, Pop would have done similar with Westbrook or realized he wasn't a point and made him a better version of Manure Ginobili as a all-star 6th man.

Thank you.

That's all I said. All I said about where westbrook is and why he is the way he is presently.

That's it.

We cannot compare a 25 year old player to a decade influence of hof coaching and multiple nba champion. that has never been the argument.

the problem is perception, double standard and coaching.

Coaching being the biggest issue.

Manu takes less than 10 shots a game... Westbrook averages triple that, so wtf are you talking bout?...

What does how many shots he takes have to do with manu being an impulsive selfish player

we just saw him throw the nba finals away last year

he has made bone head play after bone head play for over a decade.

that's wtf im talking about.

you said he would make it a point to stay away from a player that has been on their team for YEARS and is still on their team TODAY

Westbrook averages more bonehead plays per game than Manu averages shots... But Manu is selfish.. lol...

Off top, all you can come up with is maybe two bonehead Manu plays, yet I could edit together an hour long highlight reel of bonehead Westbrook plays from this years Playoffs alone... :smh:

I agree with the O.G. here.

I remember how Parker use to get fussed at so hard by Pop. Parker came in the league with much less athleticism and skill than Westbrook and Paul.

At times Pop had that dude ready to cry

Manu has to be Pop's son-in-law or something because there is no way that he has lasted this long with the Spurs.

thats like saying if jerry rice got drafted by the lions what would he be

this isnt an argument man

youre wildin

Personality matters...shit Kobe was the same with all types of different coaches..

If Westbrook wasn't in the League... and decided to attack Wall street he would be a big win... big loss type of cat.. I bet if we analyze him and Kobes brains.. it's much different than even other star Nba players..

west brook is the type of cat to bet 50 K a hand and shit with no second thought

It's not a shock why Kobe sees "mamba ways" in Brook... they're from the same Ilk..
