He been living off that 2008 Boston Celtics championship for a while now. He should be putting a check in the mail to Doc Rivers every week cuz he wouldnt've got that contract any other way. Dude averages less than 6 points and 6 rebounds for his CAREER.
Perkins on the right team is similar to Haslem, he may not grab the rebound , but he damn sure make sure his man dosen't either. Now that's big if his man is someone like Howard or a normal Hibbert. Since he left Boston their rebounding has been shit while OKC is one if the best offensive rebranding teams.
Not saying Perkins is a star, but he can be a very serviceable role player in the right system. Unfortunately OKC isn't the right one .

Perk is a type of guy that needs to have other warriors around him, similar to the way Rodman needed warrior around him, and did not look the same playing in a more finesse Spurs system..
I know for a fact that Perkins can guard any big physical center one on one, with no need for doubling down in the paint to help. Any by him neutralizing the opponent big guy, it can free up the other bangers to crash the boards. Notice how tougher Ibaka has become with him on the team. Perkins can also post up , but OKC has no passers or plays that allows him to get fed in the paint.
