It's (most of) US as Sports Fans that are putting money in Sterling's pocket, via seats, advertisers, merchandise, NBA, TV Networks, etc.

The NBA couldn't buy this ugly publicity. This controversy is giving them ratings now because we're all interested in how it's going to be handled via the NBA, The Clippers, if Golden State will be that ASS, etc. And that ends up as MONEY in their pockets. Because WE gave it to them.
