Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

I called this on out when it happened. He should have just gotten out of the way and let Lebron have the layup. However, he shouldnt have had foul 3 in the first place for that one to even get him up to 4.

He has a bunch of ticky-tack stupid fouls and it is his fault. All the reaching and stuff is catching up to him, and they don't call a lot of them on him, but some of them are just so obvious and silly.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Just the fact that we are talking about the officiating and not the game says a lot about how the game is being officiated. It's having too much of an effect. Game 2 had a questionable non-call at the end that affected the outcome. Game 1 they let them play. Game 3 was a typical Joey Crawford shit fest (never giving the away team any of the ticky tack calls, favoring the superstars) and its evident. If it was all B-Ball related then no one would be talking about the officiating. The best refs make themselves invisible, not T up a coach for arguing a call that even YOU know is wrong.

tumblr_lo2ywwhRHu1qb2b1y.gif

As a player as soon you focus on the refs you have lost.

Again............Miami 4-1.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

That is all fine and dandy. We all know that. It doesnt change the fact that OKC was playing against the Heat and the refs. These teams are too evenly matched for the refs to be one-sided.

OKC should have shot better from the line. OKC should not have turned over the ball late. However, the reality of the matter is that refs controlled the flow of the game by putting questionable foul calls on Durant which removed him during a key run. Durant was called for ONE foul that was plainly stupid on his part..the reach in that got him foul 4 in the third.

Also, I saw both Durant and Westbrook not get calls that both Wade and Lebron were getting on the other end.

Refs gotta call the game better.

I am willing to bet you ANYTHING that game 4 is called more liberally

since it went the heats way they don't see it, don't wanna talk about/acknowledge it

but if it was reversed...all hell would break loose.

difference is, if it were reversed id still be as disgusted as i am now.

OKC gets a lot of tic tack calls because they are a gambling team... They leave their feet too much and try to block every shot.. Plus with Ibaka a non-factor, other players have to shoulder the load, often putting players in the position that they are not used to.
I think if they can find a way of keeping Ibaka relevant and in the game, they should be better off in the foul department..

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Kevin Durant is Jesus to these dudes. He's the humble anti-LeBron. They don't have the heart to be critical of him or hang losses on him. Its been the same story all playoff, BGOL starts to feel sorry for the star player facing the Heat. All the sudden its not fair, or the refs are preventing them from winning. Since Westbrook played decent tonight, its Brooks and the refs turn to take the blame for KD not stepping up in the clutch.

Man..gone somewhere with this weak shit. I have been one of the biggest Lebron James supporters on this board and will be happy to see him get one..

but the officiating is horrible. The refs have to be consistent on both sides of the floor. If you are going to call the game tight, call it tight on both sides. If you are going to let them play, let them play. But you can go back and forth... especially on a superstar...

and westbrook played alright.. he was still 8-18 and only had 4 fucking assists .. that is an OK performance for a PG

but James Harden :puke::puke:

cats only calling for fair foul calls homie...no one said anything about Bron other than the favorable calls he gets...which is expected he is a star player...all we saying is call the game even steven or call the same shit on the other end...because KD is not getting those calls...:smh:

nobody wants to see a star player on the bench for petty fouls...Bron has been lights out...he is the MYP if they win.....I just rather see less referee influence....

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

The reason the calls are going the Heat's way is because they are the aggressor. As soon as the Thunder get that in their heads, the games will seem like they are called more evenly. Jump shooting teams have a hard time winning in series like this.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

If nothing else, can you agree that questionable calls on the NBA's leading scorer is having a significant impact on the game?

Of course Durant being out has a significant impact on the game. We all agree on that.

We disagree that those are questionable calls though. Id say most are not.

If you call them on one end, you have to call them on the other end. Wade and Lebron are getting away with the same ticky-tacky fouls. It is the inconsistenty of what constitutes a foul that is the problem.

However, you dont call questionable ticky-tack OFF THE BALL fouls on superstars to put them in foul trouble during the finals...

Like I said, the refs are treating Durant like Norris Cole.

And thats all OKC is. A glamorized jump shooting team with a glamorized jump shooter as their superstar. They dont attack the rim like Miami, so they wont get the trips to the line like that. Especially outside of Chesapeake Energy Arena where they seem to get rewarded for jump shots with touch calls and tick tack fouls. You aint getting that in Miami son. Go out there and take the shit. Where's this "killer instinct" yall was yapping about after Game 1?

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Only one player attacked the rim today for the Thunder.

It was Harden and he shot 7 free throws. Thats 1 less then LBJ.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

eewwlll would you please get off the ticky tact fouls, minus the two stupid fouls by Durant he could have played every minute of the game. Refs call stupid fouls all the time, Wade, Lebron and Bosh get fouled a bunch of times this game that weren't called. Stop the stupid fouls and this is not an issue. Durant would have 3 fouls for the game, that's not bad.

Exactly. Lebron has been playing some of the best ball he has ever played... especially for the Finals. I am gonna be happy for that brother if Miami wins :smh:

But this shit would be like Boston vs LA in 86 and Bird sitting for huge stretches for bullshit fouls... :smh: come on man.. fuck outta here.. unless it is just a ridiculous foul, you dont call ticky-tick off the ball fouls on superstars in the finals to put them in foul-trouble... :smh:

KD is not doing what LeBron is doing, one thing he is so predictable once he puts the ball on the ground, that Heat players have time to set up and get in his path, knowing his head is down and he is not a good passer... This is how and why he picks up so many charges, and why he was lucky not to foul out last game, on that play..
James and Wade on the other hand plays with his head up, and is able to punish the defense for collapsing too hard, by passing the ball out to the wing.
Often the difference between a charging foul and a foul on the defense, is the control the dribbler has, if he is sliding away from the defender (like Harden did to Miller) they will call it on the defender, however if you dribble once take long ass steps with your head down, well oftentimes the ball-handler will be called for a charge..

:yes::yes::yes:
He is the only one who seems to be in complete control when he dribbles, well him and Fisher when his legs are under him..

You cant be serious. OKC was on like a 10 point run and then they called two very questionable calls on Durant within a minute of each other to put him on the bench...RUN OVER..and he was just getting the hot hand

The refs are not proportionately making stupid calls..they seemed to make them tonight against one team..

Wasn't one of those calls on the Wade pump fake at the side of the rim..

Heat are being aggressor and that is smart ball. If they continue to play like that, they will win. The run started when Miami started defaulting to jumpshooting in the 3rd.

However, the Thunder are not really just settling for long jumpers

Actually, they aren't getting away with the same ticky-tack fouls, but sometimes we miss things because we are focused on one thing. OKC is allowed to be more physical than the Heat. Period.

KD has had some really dumb fouls like reaching fouls. He has had his share of charges but they have been charges and ones that weren't called either.

OKC has proven to be the ones who flop more than the Heat. Hardin, Durant gets away with that follow through. Westbrook too, but at least he drives more.

We all have our biases and no one is impartial. We see it like we want and by stating that you aren't impartial means you are partial to one or the other.

And again eewwll I ask why was Durant in a situation where he was in foul trouble? So he didn't hack Wade going up for the layup? He didn't foul Lebron twice on fast breaks? Didn't he aslo have a charge in there somewhere, he gets so many fouls ists hard keepin up.

after game 1 where he got hit with some charges I notice he isn't attacking as much....the refs are altering his game with all the fouls...the Heat are playing tight Defense no doubt...but Durant is damn near unstoppable too...& has a better shot than Bron....what makes Bron so deadly IMO is his passing...

Durant can turn it up when he wants too...he started 7-7 last game in the 4th...he hit a couple shots dead in Brons face playing great Defense....

Westbrook is killing them at critical times....& those fouls ain't helping...& they aren't getting help from their players like what Battier is giving the heat....

it would be nice to see KD finish strong w/o the foul trouble 3 games in a row :smh:

Man please. Just because you put. Period. at the end of a sentence does not make it so. You are imagining that.

KD has had some really dumb fouls like reaching fouls. He has had his share of charges but they have been charges and ones that weren't called either.

Durant had one dumb reach in foul on the fast break that got him his fourth. But he shouldnt have had his 3rd to begin with because there was no off the ball foul there.

OKC has proven to be the ones who flop more than the Heat. Hardin, Durant gets away with that follow through. Westbrook too, but at least he drives more.

Harden is king flopper.

You are imagining Durant getting away with anything on his follow through.

We all have our biases and no one is impartial. We see it like we want and by stating that you aren't impartial means you are partial to one or the other.

I have no dog in this fight. I am happy with either team winning....though as OKC are young and has time, would probably put the extra 1 percent on Miami....especially for Lebron.

However, the officiating is questionable at best.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

OKC needs to move the ball around much better, they need to set better high picks, even staggered picks to free Durant... To be honest after playing Boston, and fighting through their half court sets, OKC seems to be real soft and predictable...
The big key is that until they find a way of getting Ibaka involved, I don't see the Thunder winning a half court battle with the Heat.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

I called it during the game. That was a good blocking foul call that the ref made and he reached in and touched Lebron on the layup.

I called those during the game live.

I called the foul on Lebron stupid DURING the game when he picked up his fourth.

No one is letting Durant off the hook. However, during the last two games, I have NEVER seen a superstar get so many questionable calls against them and I have been watching basketball for a long damn time.

Yes. Durant has to know when to just get the fuck out of the way on the fast break and let Lebron get the layup.

However, the refs cant be calling the off the ball bullshit to put him in foul trouble in the first place.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

blackras at the end of the day your STAR PLAYER shouldn't be taking stupid fouls to stop 2 LEBRON (no way in hell he's missing) layups. Just give up the points and live to fight another day. Why do you think Lebron never fouls out? The game in Boston was the first in 8 years or so. When he gets beat he doesn't compound it by making a stupid foul.

:yes::yes: Exactly! He hasn't been on the last 4 all-defensive teams and only fouled out 4 times in his career just because he's a superstar. Defense is all about discipline and timing.

I'm surprised Harden doesn't foul out more. He's been getting fouls at a much higher clip than Durant in the playoffs

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Uhhh yes it was:cool::cool:

Are yall talking about a 2nd quarter play?

I was focusing more on the 2nd half... because there were 3 fouls on him in the 3rd and 4th to get him up to 5 fouls... he started the second half with two..

the off the ball foul, the foul on lebron (reach in) on the layup in the 3rd, and then the blocking call (lebron layup) in the 4th..

KD is a better shooter, but there are things you can do to disrupt his game (shit it may not work, but at least you can get him to work hard).
And I am telling you guys as long as Ibaka is a non factor and KD is forced to play one on one vs James, Durant will continue to be in foul trouble...

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

OKC just lost tonight, weren't they in the lead at times in the 4th? What happened to make them lose that lead IN THE 4th?

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

but I will say this much.

Brooks probably shouldnt have sat both Durant and Westbrook at the same damn time to end the third.

He should have let Durant continue to play and finish the quarter or keep Westbrook out there... that was a questionable decision even though westbrook was starting to go full retard.
