They need to take Durant off of James or give him better help, if not KD is a sitting duck, that can easily be exploited...
Ive got no dog in this fight man. I want to see both Durant and Lebron get their first one. However, I do have a problem with the refs having to much impact on the games. Durant is sitting during key stretches of the game for bullshit fouls. I called a couple of them as good calls by the ref (the swipe at lebron on the fast break and the blocking foul again on the fast break)..however, in the third, that foul number 3 was mad suspect.. then he got hit with another one a minute later that put him on the bench... effectively killing their momentum
I still think Oklahoma City is a better team. they just have to tighten up a lot of these on unforced errors and hit their free throws and they should be all right the next game. Also, Kevin Durant has to do a better job of being a playmaker the next game.I don't know how many turnovers he had this game but it seemed like a ton. He has to be more of a leader out there because it's only getting a tougher the further they go.
they both get hit in the lane.
1 goes to the line
okc needs to keep attacking
Fuck the fans, the object is to win the game, and for the 2nd game in a row KD has had a hard time guarding James and has been in foul trouble both games... Another problem that no one is talking about is that Ibaka has been totally shut down, if OKC is going to get back in this thing, he is going to have to step up his game..maybe put Thabo on him?
Bron is not an easy assignment for anyone...he can do pretty much do what he wants...I like the crowd the lane strategy force them to shoot that ball...but yeah take KD off James early...
I want to see good basketball...not stars on the bench for petty fouls....
Heat fan or not we want to see the best out there competing
eewwll, me and you can go back and forth all day about which call/non-call was good or not.
For both teams.
But every single game is the same damn story. The refs won it for the Heat.
I know you know your shit eewwll, but Im starting to question BGOL bball IQ, since all we ever seem to talk about is the refs instead of the intricacies of how the games are won/lost. More actual basketball talk would be appreciated.

If nothing else, can you agree that questionable calls on the NBA's leading scorer is having a significant impact on the game?

But lets be specific about this game.
truth...they need someone to step up...I don't see it happening...
Battier has been lights out he is a huge difference maker for the Heat while OKC trying to get everything they can from KD, Russ & Harden
they can't win like that...they won't win like that

The bullshit off the ball foul call on KD that got him his third foul in the 3rd period was an easy one that i pointed out live during the game.... really... a pivotal moment on the game during a run and you tack on a bullshit foul... and even though I said the 4th one was a foul.. they could have very easily let that one go..as they havent been calling that on the other end..
two quick fouls on a superstar during the heart of a run when he had just made 4 straight shotsand that had NO impact on the game
yeah right..
You must not have seen the last 2 fouls LeBron fouled out vs Boston...
bottomline is your star player shouldn't be taking bogus fouls on fast breaks. .
KD should wish LeBron a Happy Father's Day. He sonned him in the 4th tonight. He made the plays down the stretch while KD faded away and settled for long range Js.
Let's keep it real. Miami is attacking the rim relentlessly. They are not shooting any jumpers. The Heat are getting to the rim and foul line. OKC on the other hand are taking jumpers.
The Heat made a few subtle adjustment on KD that KD has to adjust to.. One thing the Heat are doing is guarding his sweet shooting spots... There was a time where KD was match up one on one vs KD yet Wade was hanging around by the top of the key, preventing Durant from getting there and shooting... Another adjustment is that Bosh is backing up James who is over playing Durant forcing him into the teeth of the D (one weakness Durant has is that he can't dribble, and when he drives he usually lowers his head dribbling once and taking long strides.. By over playing and forcing him into Bosh, once KD puts the ball on the ground, he is no longer able to pass, freeing Bosh from his defender and making it a very difficult shot... The Heat sometimes slide Battier to help, often endangering KD from picking up a charge...
Until he either learns to dribble better or drive with his head up, so that he can pass, this will continue to be an effective method of guarding KD..
That is the case and Durant is getting stupid fouls. You don't have to go for every steal or block. Honestly, he could easily foul out especially guarding LBJ even they let Durant body him up. A big problem with KD is that he shoots too many jumpers, and they don't do well in he assist department. Too much one on one offense. Yet, people want to complain about the refs. just ask KD and his dumb as fouls that costs his team.
I wonder if some of you view life this same way? I was always told shit happens in life but focus on the things in life that you have control over. That's the same with this game, everyone gets shitty calls, you have to make a conscience effort not to make stupid fouls. That's why Durant has been sitting the past two games. Lebron had a chance in the game to foul Durant on a fast break twice to stop a layup and guess what he did???? He conceded the bucket, in the long run that's the best thing for the team.
Battier has been lights out because Ibaka has been trying to help out down low in the paint, yet he is not fast enough to shoot out and help out in the perimeter once the ball is shot back out.. Having Perkins guard Battier is even worse, due to him being slower... This is why they are forced to pull Ibaka and play small, forcing them to change their game approach that got them this far..
Just the fact that we are talking about the officiating and not the game says a lot about how the game is being officiated. It's having too much of an effect. Game 2 had a questionable non-call at the end that affected the outcome. Game 1 they let them play. Game 3 was a typical Joey Crawford shit fest (never giving the away team any of the ticky tack calls, favoring the superstars) and its evident. If it was all B-Ball related then no one would be talking about the officiating. The best refs make themselves invisible, not T up a coach for arguing a call that even YOU know is wrong.
Kevin Durant is Jesus to these dudes. He's the humble anti-LeBron. They don't have the heart to be critical of him or hang losses on him. Its been the same story all playoff, BGOL starts to feel sorry for the star player facing the Heat. All the sudden its not fair, or the refs are preventing them from winning. Since Westbrook played decent tonight, its Brooks and the refs turn to take the blame for KD not stepping up in the clutch.
