Yeah...keeping taj is a must imho. They said on ESPN this morning that the Rockets GM..or whoever he is...was all on twitter and the whole 9 asking fans to convince Asik to come to the Rockets. The Blazers are also interested. They say the Rockets or Portland offered Hibbert a Max contract. The Pacers will more than likely match that and keep him. Hence they wil go extra hard for Asik. So Asik is gone. Asik has some nice defense...but thats about it. I know for a fact the Bulls aint about to pay 8+ million for a fucking center thats coming off the bench, cant catch a basketball and always keeps the ball by his knees. Asik will have a nice future..just not in Chicago.

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Nuggets agree to re-sign guard Andre Miller to a three-year deal, sources tell Yahoo! Sports.

"We intend to have Jeff back," Ainge said. "Nothing is done, but we intend to have him back. I think we're going to enter a contract with him, hopefully by the end of the moratorium."
these GM's are crazy and the owners then want to complain.this is crazy I'm not even mad at Jrue holiday. He looked at some of the deals being offered and said... I Want MAXthese GM's are crazy and the owners then want to complain.
still trying to understand what the lockout was for.....
Omer Asik Agrees With Houston
Chicago Bulls restricted free-agent center Omer Asik has agreed to a three-year, $25 million deal with the Houston Rockets, according to a person with direct knowledge of the deal.

Its Omer Asik's contract thats driving up the price for centers. Hibbert, is atleast an all star, Asik is a 15-20 minute bench player. Id hate to be a fan of the team that was looking for a C.
Guys like Robin Lopez, camby, mcgee is going to benefit massively from this. They are all arguably better than omer.
NBA Free Agent Rumors: Marcus Camby Draws Interest From Rockets, Heat, Knicks
Marcus Camby is drawing plenty of attention in NBA free agency, notably from the Houston Rockets, New York Knicks and Miami Heat. According to FOX Sports writer Chris Tomasson, Camby's first choice is to return to Houston where he finished the 2011-12 season. If not, the 38-year-old could play for New York under the team's $3.09 million mid-level exception, according to ESPN.com.
Tomasson reports that Camby would like to start, but may be willing to split time even if the Rockets bring on Omer Asik from the Chicago Bulls. Camby believes he can be a starter, however, and sees himself playing another three more years in the NBA.
The draw to New York is strong as well. While Camby has little chance of starting over Tyson Chandler, he does live in New York during the offseason. He also played for the Knicks from 1998-2002. New York is looking to bring in a veteran point guard, however, and may not be able to give Camby the exception. Camby earned roughly $11.2 million last season between the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston.
The Heat are also in the running, but they may run into similar financial problems as the Knicks. If the Heat bring in Ray Allen from Boston, there may not be enough resources left to give Camby what he wants. If Allen goes elsewhere, Camby becomes a more viable option.
Joe Johnson Trade To Brooklyn Nets Completed
The Hawks and Nets have agreed on a five-player trade that will send Joe Johnson to Brooklyn, according to a report.

Jul 2, 2012 - The Brooklyn Nets have acquired Joe Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks for Jordan Farmar, Anthony Morrow, Johan Petro, Jordan Williams and a 2013 protected first-round draft pick originally owned by the Houston Rockets, SB Nation's Nets blog Nets Daily reports. The Nets did not have to surrender promising youngster MarShon Brooks or free-agent guard Gerald Green in the trade.
Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski confirms the deal's parameters and adds that the Nets will not have to send their own first-round pick in 2013 in the trade.
Johnson is an all-star caliber player that is coming off yet another strong season, but he has four years and nearly $89 million left on a maximum contract he originally signed in 2010. Nevertheless, the Nets are looking to demonstrate to free-agent point guard Deron Williams that they are committed to winning, and they are apparently willing to move on from their ongoing Dwight Howard pursuit to make it happen.
Earlier, Howard made it clear that he wants a trade from the Magic and the Nets are the only team on his wish list. However, by trading for Johnson, the Nets will make it more difficult to assemble a strong trade package to acquire the Magic center.
Yes yes yes! Thank you so much Billy King. No way you get Howard now and y'all can continue to be the stepchildren of NY
I wonder what McGee is asking for right now.
