The knicks need to be wise. Cp3 did this early so the knicks don't sign on long term. Still they could do a sign and trade with pieces like lin and others.

Completely agree with you. Teague was a pleasant surprise but their inability to get one of the available wing players pisses me off.
What these heavy pursuit of Asik tells me is that Andre Drummond is going to get paid unless he gets in trouble off the court. If nothing else he's going to be good for good rebounding and shot blocking.
By the way if Asik is worth 8 million and Roy Hibbert is worth max money both Demarcus Cousins and Greg Monroe are going to expect max deals. The owners need to be more aware of what agents are aware of in that the deal you sign today dictates the deal that you will be expected to offer tomorrow.

If the Knicks want Nash they're going to have overpay for him because if they don't Toronto will. If the Suns can pull this off it will be a great move. A backcourt of Kendall Marshall and Iman Shumpert could do some damage offensively with Fields coming off the bench and Jared Dudley as a defensive player and 3 point shooter.

They want a championship team but don't want to spend money. We got like 3 million in cap room (and that's only if we don't re-sign CJ, Kyle, Asik and Ronnie) and that's for 8 players including Teague.
Before the draft, there was a rumored deal of Deng + #29 for Biedrins, Dorell Wright and #7 from the Warriors and they didn't take it because they would be spending an extra million if they just kept Deng and the rookie.
But at least we would have an extra player and their contracts are both up in 2013 with Biedrins having a player option. We would've had a decent 2, a back-up big man and we could've drafted Harrison Barnes and had him at the 3. All we would've needed is to get a back-up PG and a extra scorer with our exception money and we would've been cool.
If that deal was real, I'm pissed we ain't take that shit.
Do it for CP3 not for no old ass Nash tho...

If that deal was on the table I think the reason they didn't take it is because they didn't think that Barnes would be there. Barnes was the rookie that they seemed to want the most but everybody assumed that he was going Top 5. We got Deng in the first place because the Suns wanted him but didn't think that he would drop to their pick.
In a league where there aren't a lot of talented perimeter defenders especially one who was only a rookie, overrated is the last thing I'd call him.

You would but the Bulls won't. They already have 1 bad contract on the books from the free agent class of 2010 they ain't taking the Knicks bad contract from that year. They wouldn't even take Stat for Boozer cause at least they can amnesty Boozer. They'd be stuck with Stat.
It's not overestimating him, if the suns had proposed that trade in the season shit maybe but a S&T is usually for trash as a player leaves and the team losing him wants some compensation.
Now as they're about to lose Nash they wants Fields and Shump when the option is nothing is Nash just walks to Toronto?
Fuck the Suns the knicks should just go after Felton for the MLE and S&T for someone on a team that needs cap relief. That S&T can be used on anyone not just FA either.
