~--~Official 2012 NBA Draft/Offseason Thread~--~

 @ Hibbert getting a max deal. Bird doesn't play that shit. He'll change the whole complexity of the team first. Hibbert's not getting a max deal from us.:smh:

To paraphrase Biggie: "I made you why would I [pay you]?" Max dollars. Isn't happening. We'll trade up and snatch Tyler first.

fam its like the owners locked out the players for being "overpaid" and then here they are doing the same shit

as soon as the ink dried they went back to overpaying players

Hibbert is not a max player but he will get a max deal or close to it

Look at the deals Nene and Tyson Chandler got right after the lockout

Nene especially we are talking about one of the biggest stongest dudes in the NBA and he is nowhere near dominant

somebody gave Kwame Brown 7 million I mean I could go on

look at the deals that were signed

Honestly that's why the owners wanted the CBA to be so restrictive. So that they could protect themselves from themselves. They just can't help doing dumb shit with their money and offer dumbass contracts.

Funny since Miller and jones contracts are coming off the books it would be highly funny and wrapper if the Heat got Roy Hibbert

Oh boy lmaoooo wishful thinking

noah and deng + a first?

Dwight Howard

Problem is this Dwight wants the Nets. I posted this two days ago.

He wants the Nets but IT AIN"T GOING HAPPEN!!!! THEY HAVE NO ASSETS!!!!!!!!!!

Thing is this under the new CBA you can only trade a player and he can get extended during the summer. Jerry said he isn't doing this deal if Dwight doesn't extend. Same thing Buss said.

As I said before if Dwight was smart he would stop being scared and pick either the Lakers or Bulls.

http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/355510/20120622/dwight-howard-trade-rumors-nets-lakers-mavericks.htm

Orlando's new GM said he wants young pieces to build nothing adding to the cap.

Bynum is perfect because his extension falls under the new CBA

Max deal as far as a rookie can get.

So Bird lets Hibbert walk who does he place him with. Do you know how bad this will make Bird look?? He already failed to extend the guy then he lets him walk and gets nothing back not happening.

He will match the offer and deal with it. He already admited he made a mistake by not extending Hibbert. As for Bird not overpaying people explain Jamal Tinsely and Dany Granger

I told you he'll take another route if he has to. Hibbert is nearly at his peak, performance wise. Post brawl, the whole roster got cleared out and look where they are now. Hibbert would be a big blow, but he's not getting a max deal: 11 per. If he does, with Indy, I'll be very surprised.

This is a younger team with a ton of flexibility. I'll side with the executive of the year to do due diligence.

And Granger wasn't overpaid.

What's the chances a few players take huge pay cuts(Miami Heat Way) for the betterment of the team.(third contracts I think)

OkC your on the clock, make it happen Durant/Westbrook!!!
(they would have to redo the contracts)

I'm not anti Hibbert. And if he can get a max deal somewhere else, good. But I'm banking on Bird making moves, and Paul George's development to upgrade this team. We'll see though.

I know you can do that in the NFL but can that be done in the NBA under the CBA. More than likely either Ibaka or Harden have to take less money or Perkins is out.

Patty Mills > any new PG from the Chi outside of Rose, taking advantage of inferior talent. He can't be better. Patty was the truth in college on the West Coast. I seen it.

And I'll look out for dude in summer league.

yep

Patty Mills is cold as fuck

Exactly, hell hibbert and ray allen. Heat wouldnt even nees Nash they would just roll, with chalmers and cole

Heat can't afford Hibbert. Remember the new CBA mike miller and others leaving doesn't put them under the cap. Just means Miami can use their MLE. Which will get them a veteran player looking to win a ring.

ESPN and others are reporting what has leaked today.

Deron Williams will tell teams on July 1st he is only interested in 2 teams Nets and Mavs. With the Nets in the lead

I'm already hype for next season man. The Brooklyn Nets, Miami title defense, OKC redemption, of course my Denver Nuggets quest to win without a superstar, Dwight Howard's final destination, the fall of the Lakers:lol: etc.

I'm even hyped for the draft even though the Nuggets don't pick till 20.

Aye Killa what's your take on the likelihood of the Lakers getting Dwight Howard? I know that's all they been talking about out here since lock out. These folks on the radio swear one day they're going to wake up one morning in 2013 and D Howard will be in a Laker jersey

dont remind us:angry:

Hennigan will immediately be confronted with making a decision on All-Star center Dwight Howard’s future. Howard is signed through the 2012-13 season, but another fallout with management has left him wanting a trade soon. Howard will push for a trade to the Brooklyn Nets before the June 28 NBA draft to clear the way for Nets free agent Deron Williams to re-sign with the Nets and partner in the new Brooklyn arena next season.

heard the deal on espn radio that nets offer is...

Lopez
Wallace (sign and trade)
brooks
2 future 1st rd picks
5 million cash

for

Dwight
Turk

Nets can't trade either Wallace or Lopez they are free agent. The Nets can't trade a first round pick unless they acquire one in this draft.

The new CBA limits how much money you can send in a trade. If my memory serves me right it's 3 million.

There is only one way the Nets can get Dwight and that is impossible

If I'm Miami I look into Kaman, Jesus and Roy. Roy isn't hard up for money he has paper

these are my thoughts on the lakers also(calling those games winnable)

Eric Pincus
Also in LA Lakers Lakers (as is) aren't as far off as some might think. The two losses against the Thunder - and two even against Mavs a year ago - were both winnable games. At some point LA needs to get out of Pau's contract - and get someone to be their next perimeter star - but none of that is easy. If they can get Brandon Roy out of retirement and Michael Beasley (and/or Rashard Lewis) that changes the equation significantly. At least short-term.
