The Warriors are interested in signing Andrei Kirilenko, according to sources.

But Kirilenko is likely to remain in Russia to continue playing for CSKA.

Kirilenko's return to the NBA had been linked to the Nets, but they can only offer approximately $1.2 million. Golden State can pay double that in the first season

I'm say this if the Nets get AK47 he is getting paid under the table. that will be two Euro league players taking paycuts to join the nets.

No longer the Nyets. I can't fault Proky.

This owner has shown in three years he can turn a franchise around, build an arena and turn one of the NBA jokes in to a marketable team.

Right now Brett and Proky are negotiating TV deals in Europe.

In an interview with FOX Sports Radio Saturday, Billy King volunteered that the Nets are talking to Andrei Kirilenko but gave no indication of whether he's likely to sign the nine-year NBA veteran and Russian star. He did say the Nets expect to sign a back-up big, then "may hold off a bit."

"We're pretty much done. We only have two spots left. We're looking for a back up big, then we may hold off a bit," King told Anthony Gargano and Lincoln Kennedy, noting that his recent knee surgery is one reason for the hold. "We got a couple guys we're talking to. Nazr Mohammed is visiting now in New Jersey with his wife. We'd like to sign him as a back-up and then ... We're talking to Kirilenko."

When Gargano asked if Kirilenko can still play, King responded, "Yeah! I saw him in the Euroleague Final Four. Yeah, he still can play. He'd be a great piece to add to us. He'd give us more depth at the forward spot." In particular, King said AK-47 could help with defense against wings like LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. "That"s why I'm looking at Kirilenko. You need players to run at those guys."

On Thursday, Kirilenko told Russian reporters that signing with the Nets is one of "several scenarios" he's considering .. even though the Nets can only offer the veterans' minimum.

Greg Stiemsma has had a long road to the NBA. The 6'11 center went undrafted in the 2008 NBA Draft and spent a few years post-college bouncing around FIBA leagues and the D-League. He was briefly signed to contracts with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics, but waived by both teams. He finally made his NBA debut with the Boston Celtics in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 NBA season and played in 55 games, proving himself to be a beast off the bench on defense.

Chris Forsberg of ESPN Boston reports that Stiemsma has agreed to terms on a deal with the Timberwolves. Hopefully Stiemsma will see continued playing time in the 2012-13 season and will continue to be an asset on defense for a promising T-Wolves team that will have Kevin Love and a returning Ricky Rubio.

I didnt compare them with the Thunder. Talent wise they had the best draft imo and with the addition of Lin and possibly Asik they will be very fun to watch

which makes sense because you can only use it on players who signed contracts before the lockout. Scola was the only one on the roster who was sign long term. Kevin Martin contract expires.

Jason Collins has been an effective defensive seven footer in the league for quite awhile and he will continue that next season with the Boston Celtics. The Celtics have agreed to a deal with the center, who should be able to serve as a mentor to the young guys while also being a Dwight Howard stopper if needed.

Proky doesn't need the money but his mission is to make the Nets one of the most profitable teams in the NBA.

See the Knicks and Bulls would be over the cap and have to deal with the tax. The Rockets will have 20 to 30 million in cap space.
