Official 2012 Lakers vs Thunder Playoff Thread

BTW, what players beside Durant and Gasol have shot good?

Harden has had three bad shooting games
Westbook has had two

or MWP and Bynum could shoot better

nah mwp isnt gonna shoot good thats not his game anymore.
the fouls tonight kept it close.
bynum does need to play better
its the only way you can win.

if they call a fair game tomorrow the unfair back to back is gonna hurt...

totally unfair by the nba

Man after seeing Westbrook in those wack ass glasses, I was really hoping Artest pop up from nowhere and do a Baby boy on his ass, just like this..

They're in LA. Tomorrow's game is gonna be called just like tonight's game. It is what it is. Bottom line. OKC will need no less than a 10 point cushion with 3 mins left in the game to win this one. Anything closer to that and LA is going to win it again at the FT line. The only way they can overcome that is by trying to blow LA out, which ain't gonna happen in LA if Stern has anything to with it.

Your missing the point, Kobe is going to get FT's from here on out. The refs are going to "Jordan" him to the FT for the rest of the playoffs. He will get no less than 15 FT's a game from here on out. Add that to 15 shooting points and he's going to get his 30+ from here on out.

and if this happens there will be no reason to watch these weak ass games.

And yes the pressure does get to them. They folded the last 3 mins of the game 2, but got lucky and folded again today. They look confused and scared and play not lose, while the Lakers played to win.

dude they won 3 close games against the mavs and 1 against the lakers already.
stop it

And the point about your boy KD "just missed a shot". Hell, he's the best shooter I know who hardley ever hits game winning shots. I think that prayer he threw up that bounced around 1000 times might be the only game winner he has ever made against a big time opponent in any game that every mattered.

clearly you've only been watching laker games
only comment on them you're not qualified to speak on anyone else

if its called like tonight...stern has everything to do with it.

the thunder are just better than the lakers
its not up for debate

thats the point. theyre up 2-1 and havent even been balling, and could easily be up 3-0

And the Lakers should be up 2-1 :dunno:

Neither team is shooting good

My only thing is they are the younger and stronger team, and game one was when they didn't have a lot of rest. Tomorrow night will tell a lot. If we win tomorrow, doubt might start to creep in OKC's head.

oh so the game wasn't called 'fair' huh?

like the three or four times kobe went up for the shot, got fouled and got NO whistle?

la dug deep and got the win. if they play the same way tomorrow then it's in the bag. sheit, if bynum can stop going to the hole like a lil beatch and actually DUNK it on a mutha fuka and pau stop being afraid to shoot and quit tryin to lob it to bynum we woulda had a fukin blow out~

This game was a defining moment for both OKC and the Lakers. The Lakers now know if they keep the game close, it doesn't matter what happens in the first 45 mins of the game, they will own the last 3 mins of the game. OKC is just too inexperienced to close out close games against the Lakers. The last 3 mins of a game is officiated, coached, and played differently by the Lakers. It's almost like a new team is on the floor in those situations. The Lakers know which guys are going to take which shots and which guys aren't going to take shots. OKC doesn't understand that and the pressure of the game really gets to them in those last few minutes and you see them playing not to lose. Bottom line, this was a must win for OKC and they lost. I actually don't see them winning another game in this series. Lakers in 6.

And when the Lakers make it past OKC, they're gonna piss all over the old as Spurs. They go from playing a college team to a old school team. They will be battle tested and ready for Boston in the finals.

On another note, I hope they don't break this OKC team up. Small markets have a hard time keeping free agents. They need to keep Harden and Ibaka or they'll continue to be also rans for the next 10 years.

You're delusional.

3minutes left Thunder up 5:

Lakers possession= Entry pass from Kobe to Gasol. Gasol initiates contact downlow, ref calls foul on Ibaka to send Gasol to line. Thunder up by 3.

Thunder possession= Harden misses jump. Laker rebound.

Lakers possession= Gasol bounce pass to Bynum. Bynum dunk blocked by Ibaka. Thunder rebound.

Thunder possession= Durant down low to Perk. Perk gets striped. Laker ball.

Laker possession= Kobe hits running bank shot with 1:32 left. Thunder up by 1.

Thunder possession= Harden passes to Durant. Ron Artest barrels through Westbrook screen, knocking Westbrook down and into Durant who also falls down (clear foul on Artest). Durant misses shot. Rebound Gasol. Thunder up by 1.

Laker possession= Harden and Kobe body for position. Kobe grabs Harden, pulls him across his body, ref calls foul on Harden with 1:09 left. Lakers take lead by 1.

Thunder possession= Durant catches inbound. Comes off curl and nails 20foot jumper with 1:06 left. Thunder up by 1.

Laker possession= Kobe takes terrible jumper misses. Gasol rebounds, passes to Kobe who misses layup. Blake rebounds, passes to Artest who pases to Kobe who gets fouled by Westbrook. Lakers by 1.

Thunder possession= Ibka misses 10foot baseline jumper. Durant rebounds, goes up and is fouled yet gets no call. Artest comes up with loose ball and is fouled by Westbrook with 12secs left. Lakers up by 3.

Thunder possession= Quick layup by Perk. Lakers by 1.

Laker possession= Kobe is intentional fouled with 9secs left. Lakers by 3.

Thunder possession= Durant misses 28foot 3. Lakers win.

This win had nothing to do with the Lakers having any superior skill, knowledge, or experience. It was all about the whistle.

And on another note, can someone please find the rest of Kendrick Perkins. There's a cat that's wearing his same number that looks sort of like him, just smaller. Somebody please go find the rest of him. Dude is like a shadow of his former self, literally. 30 pounds ago he used to be a beast. Now he's looking like Udonis Haslim:lol:

i guess you haven't been reading my posts

the memo got out
you can't even come close to him or the call is going against you.

harden picked up 2 bogus fouls

and now seffalosa

over under 20 ft's for kobe tonight

:smh::smh::smh:

Shit was disgusting man.

I see the same script when the Lakers play. The refs always get the Lakers' opponent in the penalty early in the 3rd and 4th qtr.

Then when you look up the Lakers will have 1 team foul at the end of the quarter.

Whenever the other team gets a lead the refs keep the Lake Show close.
And if its close when its down to the wire, Kobe usually has great opportunities to close it out.

You might want to actually watch the game you're commenting on.

The Lakers were in the penalty with almost 8 left in the fourth

And how many times did Harden get to the line?

i agree. i just don't see it in your favor unless the big men dominate like they should
or kobe gets the calls like he did tonight

and even when both those things happen the thunder STILL have a chance to win and that's the problem...usually if you execute you blow the other team out. but if you execute precisely and then get the calls and still have to hang on? you can win 4 games like that...but i wouldn't hang my hat on that

homie there were 4 plays back to back where harden got called for fouls on clean block and another contest that didn't touch kobe

kobe went to the lane traveled...which they didn't call missed the shot okc got the rebound he removed dude's arms from around the ball a clear loose ball foul uncalled big man ended up with it and they called an and 1 on perk who was literally standing there straight up

if kobe don't get 18 ft's off of some bs and if every loose ball foul didn't go against okc you'd have 1 game left in your season

difference is he actually got fouled going up strong and in the lane.

kobe was getting foul called on jump shots and when HE was kicking defenders with his leg and shit

i saw every minute of the game.

Then how come they didn't call the foul on the strip
How come they didn't call the foul on the air ball
How come they didn't call a foul when he lost the ball going up

There are a lot of other times they could have called fouls

Like when Andrew got his shot blocked by Ibaka

But keep playing the ref card
Because it seems to me the refs missed a lot of calls if they wanted the Lakers to win so badly

YEAH!

I told you niggas, LA in six. You motherfuckers sound heartbroken. I already see people talkin' that 'the fix is in' bs. Where the fuck was that fix when we got pushed to seven games last series? Where was that fix last year when Dallas swept LA? You niggas want to see LA lose so badly, that you unwittingly become tin-foil hat wearers to explain why they won.

GTFO!

If their was a fix, NY would have more than two rings. Why would such a huge market rarely have a great team?

If there was a fix, why do the Spurs have ANY rings? Those motherfuckers always have low rate finals.

So, shut the fuck up and enjoy this ass whooping on the horizon!

you said or someone said that the thunder were in the penalty with 8 minutes left.... then how on earth did they NOT go to the line more than the lakers?

42 free throws? 41 points?
you only had 99 total and 41 of them came from the free throw line

I'm not playing a card
it was the ace/tre domino that locked the board and everybody had to give it up......

see my post about your ft's

and your bigs have to play big in order to win this series

or get 42 free throws and 41 points off of those free throws every night

AND THEN
hope that durant misses the game winner

there was a play were harden got fouled and the refs called it. when they ran the replay back, turns out harden took dayum near four fukin steps before he was even fouled near the rim!

and like i said there was a slew of non calls the refs didn't 'see' okc make against the lakers. again, thanks to replay we get to see that sheit w/o question.

but we can agree that calls were missed on both ends more than either of us would want. but i will say that the refs let them play for the most part

That's all he's getting

Coming from the person just happy to make the playoffs

Kobe > the Clippers organization

Why has Kobe been to the playoffs more than the Clippers franchise

41-42

Do you have a problem with the 41, or the 42?

Because Harden was the only one taking it to the basket
Westbrook and Durant often settle for pull up jumpers
Ibaka and Perkins aren't a threat, though Perkins did go twice
It's not like OKC was in foul trouble.

hell i'd expect any team that takes 42 free throws and hit 41 of them to win.lets be honest we knew the lakers was gonna play hard for this win...just dont think they got enough gas in the tank for the thunder

that's a lie ibaka perk and durant with harden were in the lane battling getting hacked. especially in loose ball situations

27 field goals made
41 free throws made

I dribbled the ball like that and lost it off my shoe back in high school. Coach damn near walked on the court to sit my ass down.
