*}{}{*}{}{*Official 2012-2013 Miami Heat Thread*}{}{*}{}{*

The only ones to worry about is Indiana and Atlanta - they start playing Kamikaze when the chips are down - luckily we have goons like Haslem, Anthony, Battier and Anderson to make them think twice about injuring a starter.

Celebrating franchise accomplishments is obviously new to you Heat fans.
Basking in the light!!

Btw..heard LBJ about to get another MVP. Must be nice to get MVP awards in an era where only about 3-4 players can be called legit MVP's.

You ninjas are thirsty for titles and thirsty for replies. Not shocked.

"Quite today" because todays game didnt mean shit to most Bulls fans. We're focused on next weekends opponent and getting injured players back for the playoffs.

But that game when we ended you alls streak did mean something. Mainly because despite Heat players and staff saying that the streak didnt mean much..the truth was it did mean something. Why? Well because your franchises resume looks like shit. Right? You all want to be where the Bulls are as a franchise.

Bulls feasted on a weak decade of basketball, aint sniffed a Finals appearance since. Hell there was times in the 2000's yall wasnt even making the playoffs.

The 2013 Bulls do good at the "spoiler" role, but when it comes to winning titles and putting together a dynasty, that left Chicago when Phil rode off on his motorcycle in '98. Your glory days were when this CD dropped...

When Im at the Bulls game I dont see some other sucka nigga jersey next to our 6 banners.

But..............

Cant talk about the future...can only take about the now.
First Jersey to be retired in the Heats franchise history was a Bulls jersey.
True testament of how wack you all have been as a franchise.

What would a Heats thread be without this video?
hear those "HEAT" fans cheering for the Bulls player.
Respect the God!!
D Rose jersey wil be up there next.

Who wanna bet me some money that LBJ nor Kobe wil ever have something like this done for them?

LBJ had number 23 when he was with the Cavs...but when he signed with the Heat he had to change that shit. Pat knows LBj aint even worthy of wearing that number.

King James my ass.
CHANGE YO SHIT NIGGA!!!

"Man Lebron! See that Bulls Jersey? I cant wait for our jerseys to be up there with Jordans!!!"

I take comfort in the fact that all you bum niggas can do is talk about the past. I take comfort in the fact that none of you bum niggas can't talk about the present. Just instantaneous dumb shit that don't have nothing to do with what's going on now.

Aside from today's ass whooping and all the shit talking, good luck next week

Mike Miller, Rashard Lewis having their moments for Miami Heat in advance of NBA playoffs. - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

MIAMI—

** There was a time, just 10 months ago, when Mike Miller not only didn't think he would be in position to challenge for playoff playing time, but wasn't sure he even would be playing.

** "I was very close to quitting," he said, as the Miami Heat turned their attention to Wednesday night's regular-season finale against the Orlando Magic at AmericanAirlines Arena. "If I felt like I was going to be a liability for this team, I was going to."

** Then came an offseason of rigorous rehabilitation on his balky back, followed by minimal playing time for the opening months of the season.

**Now? "Right now," he said, "I feel great.

* "The way I feel, I feel better than I have in the last four years."

* He hopes the minutes will continue in the playoffs. He's certain he will be back on the court, somewhere, next season.

* "I feel like if I'm healthy, which I am right now, that I can be very, very productive in this league, still," he said.
** That's where it gets tricky. He was so certain he would be an amnesty release by the team this past offseason, a move that would provide the Heat significant luxury-tax relief, that he sold his Hillsboro Beach home. With the luxury tax becoming exponentially more punitive this offseason, he's braced for the impending playoff run being his final hours with the Heat.

** "I mean, that's always going to be a situation with our team, if you look at the way our team was structured and is structured," he said. "With the new CBA, that's always going to be an issue, always going to be a topic. That's going to be completely up to them and they'll make the decision."

** For now, there still are opportunities for the type of magic Miller, 33, provided in last season's playoffs, namely his 7-of-8 3-point shooting in the championship-clinching victory in Game 5 of last season's NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

** "Luckily I'm still here," he said "To me, during the Finals, I was at a point where I wasn't sure I could even play anymore."

Rashard's roll

** Even if Rashard Lewis hadn't received extended recent time amid the rest given in recent weeks to the Heat's stars, coach Erik Spoelstra said he still had the confidence to spot the veteran forward into playoff situations.

** "He doesn't have to prove anything in terms of his play," Spoelstra said. "We know who he is. We anticipated how he would fit in with our system. He's played for great teams and he's been a two-way player on very good teams in Orlando.

** "Obviously, he gives us spacing. He knows how to play. He helps our ball movement. And defensively, he fits. He knows how to fit into our system, in terms of our schemes."

** Beyond some of Lewis' recent breakout performances, which included a 19-point performance in Monday's victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, his fifth double-digit performance in the past seven games, what has impressed Spoelstra has been Lewis' season-long commitment to being ready if called upon.

** "The tough part was coming to a team like this that already had won a championship, that has depth at his position," Spoelstra said of the 33-year-old offseason free-agent acquisition "At his age, knowing that, yes, we'll need him, but it won't necessarily be a consistent night-in, night-out rotation, that speaks to him playing for all the right reasons and wanting to be something special. He had a taste of it, making it to the Finals in Orlando, but he's never been able to feel the ultimate joy.

** "He's kept himself ready, a true professional all season long. And if he didn't do that, all the extra conditioning, all the extra shooting, all the extra scrimmaging, then if he got his opportunity at his age, he probably wouldn't have been able to take advantage of it."

Bucks update

*** While the Heat get healthier amid Spoelstra resting his stars, the Heat's first-round playoff opponent has increasing injury concerns.

** Center Larry Sanders, the shot-blocking anchor of the Milwaukee Bucks' defense, has missed the past three games with a sore lower back.

** "It's bothering him, so we've got our fingers crossed," Bucks coach Jim Boylan told the Journal Sentinel. "That's key for us, to have a couple days of practice and preparation to get ready."

Miller was a soldier playing through that back pain last year.

Props to him amd I am glad to see he is a lot healthier this year. Now lets hope he drops some 3's in the playoffs :)

This is going to be an interesting playoffs.

So it looks like the Heat will have the easiest route to the EFC. I'm not sure if I like that cause I know how laxed that can get. Oh well, one series at a time :(

it is no easier than any other 1 seed has gotten throughout any other playoffs

I wonder how many games this current Heat team would have won if they were serious about winning all of their games.... Off the top of my head I can name at least five games they mailed in and didn't give a fuck about..

No serious I think they would have won close to 72 if they were to start their JV team during the games they lost... Because there is no way teams like the Wiz, Pistons, Bucks, shit even the Jazz would beat the team they floored today, even with out James and Bosh..

Looks like I made a mistatement. Heat may get end up getting the Bulls in the second round. Cool

The Heat killed all the naysayers and critics by winning 66 games - the exact number of games in the truncated season.

Also they are in good company of historic >.800 teams.

Hmmm statistics show the team with the best record won the finals just saying

Look at the list on the side of accomplishments now look at the rest

Dallas shouldn't even be up there for getting bumped in the 1st round

Yea, I noticed that. :smh: Dallas has always been suspect even when winning a lot of games. If not for the addition of Tyson Chandler, they would have never won a ring.

Tom Haberstroh ‏@tomhaberstroh

Over his last 10 games, LeBron is shooting
70% from the floor and 57% from deep.
This is what prime LeBron looks like.

Heat fans I think Wade should rest through this round and the next round?

Given that they play the Pacers win, I don't see a need for him. The way both these teams playing I think Heat will make EASY work out of either one of em.

Thoughts?

I wil do this...props to LBJ for making it to the ECF once again. LBJ is a alright player. If it wasnt for LBJ, a la Cleveland, Miami wouldnt even be a topic in any sports discussions. Miami is and wil always be known for a vacation spot for bad hoes, partying and trickin...not sports....lol

I know other players like Cole, Bosh, etc shined at certain spots; Has-been Wade plays a role and "show up when i want to" Bosh showed up 1 or 2 times...but the Heats success is solely predicated on LBJ being on the floor. Whether he's playing good or bad...take LBJ off the floor and the Heat are a different team. Take D Rose off the floor..the Bulls can stil give u a run for you money. FACT!!!!

As a team...the Heat stil aint worth a shit in my eyes. Therefore...I see you all next year when we're healthy and ready to upset LBJ.

BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!
