Official 2011 NFL Draft Thread......

great pick by the jets... no more running on us...finally we can stop the run and the wildcat...thank u! create pressure and stop the run....

No fucking clue on why we picked Bruce Carter and Demarco Murray, We don't need another RB, Choice and Jones are good backs,..

You have Rahim Moore, Brandon Harris, Bowers, etc,,, You gotta make better decisions than what we made,,,

When you sit back and take a look the Cowboys are not very good at drafting early

Shit we are better at undrafted free agents and late picks

They get too fucking cute. I swear. Man I don't even know anymore. I said coming into this draft that we should draft the best player available on our board. I don't care what position he plays unless its qb, tight end and receiver. We went tackle, running back and linebacker. Not bad. I just question who we drafted but even then there isn't a player that we passed up in this draft that I said "DAMN I WISH WE WOULD'VE GOT HIM...". I'm growing to like the tackle and we needed a linebacker and this guy looks like he can play outside and inside and probably will play inside for us. That Demarco Murray pick is the one that pisses me off though because that means or BETTER mean we're getting rid of 2 of our 3 backs. I'm not going through this shit with running back again. Go ahead and let Choice move on. I'll forever be a Barber fan but that physical style looks to have caught up with him. Unless they plan on using him some at fullback and him taking a major paycut. I don't think they've given up on Felix yet. Everyone is pointing towards Barber as the one to go but I think its Barber and Choice.

He was a LT his freshman year, didn't get any burn & they moved him to RT. LTs are a fucking valued commodity & in a pass happy offense like USC's they didn't want him watching the blindside, but we're to believe he will come & protect Romo:smh:
Honestly, I caring when Peterson went off the board...I don't expect us to be serious contenders until that stadium is paid off.

Well from what I read he's not a finished product. He still has room to grow but what I like most about him is how athletic he is. I like Doug Free and i'm content with him being our left tackle but I think he'll just be a good left tackle. Solid. You can win with solid but I think we he can be a GREAT right tackle and if this dude can fullfill his potential? We'll have some damn good tackles and supposedly they like Sam Young from last year too. I'm not 100% with the pick but i'm growing to like it. They're already throwing the comparisons to all time great in Larry Allen his way. Seems like we do that shit every year we draft.

I don't mind the first pick, but his game is completly different from Larry Allen. Smith is more finese, matter of fact this is the first time in his life he has weighted 300 pounds or more, his playing weight at USC was 280-290.

not mad at the Bears pick... I dont like them trading a fourth when they need more players

Just when I thought Angelo was doing good, then this fool drafts this safety....:smh::smh::smh: There were plenty of good OL still left. I like Paea but like you said they gave up a 4th round pick when they need bodies. Then he fucked up yesterday with what was supposed to be a trade with the Ravens and the thing is he really didn't even have to make that trade....:smh::smh::smh: Angelo is a fucking joke!

Steal of the Draft! and aint drafted yet!
Damn near Every critical NFL game comes down to field position or a field goal...GM's snoozin and I see why they stay getting fired:lol:

I think that he panicked when Austin got drafted because Paea was the last DT on their board that they really liked and that fit the system.I'm not sure about the safety. The video package looked good but I would have preferred an offensive lineman I'm hoping that they can get Boling from Georgia who is a solid guard.
They fucked up the trade and I'm not sure how they did that but apparently they were scared that Kansas City might take him or that somebody would trade up with Kansas City and get Carimi.

It was Hudson Houck he compared him to Larry Allen. Never seen Tyron Smith play aside from the film they've been showing so I can't say. He does move well like Larry use to though. I'll give him that.

Cornhuskers are my team. He was the best part of our team last year besides Helu & Burkhead. Dude is a soon to be all-pro kicker though for real.

Saw a post on the Bears website that had an interview with people in the war room and basically they said there plan was that if Carimi was not there....they would go Sherrod or Paea... So I dont think the Bears panicked... its more likely that NFL network is guessing so they sound like they know what their talking about... lol

I get the Paea pick because he was a projected 2nd round pick and like you said he fits there system and the Giants had taken Austin. But now you are left with only a 5th and 6th round pick and I don't know if you can get a good quality OG who could start for you. They need to shore up that OL because the Lions and Packers defensive fronts are no fucking joke and on top of that their line was the worst in the NFL as far as giving up sacks...:smh::smh::smh: They need to quit messing around and build this offensive line for their franchise QB. As far as that trade goes they should of had some idea that KC was not going to take Carimi, evidently they had the wrong information. I mean it worked out for them but they had fucked up big time. I just burnt out on Angelo, it's time for a change. Oh well I guess this is the price you pay for being a Bears fan.

Is that right?!?!

Well Jerry better make a move cuz our kicking game is beyond suspect

Man as a Dallas fan I'm starting to think Jerry is trying to sell this team or something cause the way he drafts is retarded. Bad as we need Secondary help you drafting fucking RB's in the 3rd round?..

Man Jerry gotta have an under the table deal with Nnamdi or something...he can't be this fucking dumb.

Well i have seen him play since i watch USC games for some unknown reason seeing as though im a Longhorns fan, and i can tell you that he is good at one crucial thing and that's second level blocking. With Free and Smith you have 2 tackles who can get to the second level and that's real important when it comes to the running game. Since i've had a chance to cool down from yesterdays debacle i can honestly say that any safety drafted yesterday will be cut or be a backup, because that had to be one of the worst safety classes in the history of the draft.

It looks more and more like the cowboys are going after Michael Huff and will pick up a spare safety in the last day of the draft.

it was a horrible class I already knew that

which is why I was pissed when we passed on moore cuz he is the only safety in the draft projected to be a starter in the NFL

we fucking better

100% COSIGN
i knew it was to good to be true that j.angelo had a football brain
what a fukkin idiot

I was hoping they went for the best offensive center / guard or cornerback available

the debacle with the ravens in the 1st round shows how inept j.angelo is:smh:
but no harm no foul.

pee-wee league football organizers are more smart than him:smh::smh:

does anybody know if Deandre Brown got drafted? dude is probably one of the top WR's in this draft and he goes undrafted? wtf

does anybody know if Deandre Brown got drafted? dude is probably one of the top WR's in this draft and he goes undrafted? wtf

yeah i was wondering the same thing
him and LSU-Terrence Toliver, WR
both of them are big physical 6ft-5in WRs:yes:

i think what hurt Deandre was his health issue with his legs
he broke his leg in 2008 and a leg strain that kept him
out of 7 games last season.

it would been nice to see my beloved BEARS drafted a unknown talented WR, like when they luck up on Johnny Knox.

they might get ask in someones training camp, of course it
there is a training camp this season:smh:

Is that all they'd have to cut:lol:

I would cut or trade:

Barber (hurts)
Roy Williams
Manny Johnson
Hurd
Campo
Ogletree
Davis
Igor
Alan Ball
Sensabaugh
Hatcher
Leon Williams

I would have maybe taken that Jacksonville deal so we could get the extra picks. Pick at 16 and get Constanzo, that BC OLineman.
Maybe go for Brandon Harris, that Miami boy, and Carter. Still get Murray and use the extra pick to get that fat DT from Hampton, Kenrick Ellis. I wanted Ellis over Murray because we need a big DT to let our linebackers work and so Ratliff can move to DE.

I don't feel the draft was that bad because apparently its been said that the Boys are going hard after Asomugha and possibly Huff or Elam.

The only thing that made me smile a little bit with the DOLPHINS draft:

4.31 EDMOUND GATES

Constanzo played on left, so you know what you're getting. NE took him...chances are he's legit. I wanted a NT as well, we still don't have a block eater. Wade doesn't prefer one, but all successful 34s have one.

Nnamdi said he wanted GB or NYJ. Don't know his particular relationship w/ Rob, but most cats that have played for him consider him too emotional & a panicer. Just dont see him running to play for him, but money talks. With no cap the raiders might bring him back. Huff wants too much for a player to have never made a pro bowl, but he wants DAL bad so he may take less to come here. He's ok, but nothing to overpay for.
