Odell Beckham has lost his fucking mind!!! LOL!!!

Odbjr is a diva receiver who's aware of the negative stigma of the diva receiver so he's great at interviews and has worked hard not to be seen as a diva receiver... But on field behavior indicates otherwise. He's an amazing talent and probably an all around good person but this behavior isn't as isolated. He literally tried to injure another player on at least two plays (one being the obvious attempt at spearing Norman and the other when he stopped and jabbed his helmet up into Normans chin). Both could've ended Normans season and or career. Football is violent enough without players intentionally trying to target one another. Norman wasn't innocent but his infractions weren't shots that could inflict lasting damage, odbjr's were.

ODB was butt hurt by the gay slur is that the Panthers quarterback was throwing at him so he tried to Cris Carter after the game I heard. CC was on Mike and Mike talking about it this morning. I've never heard a straight guy complain to anybody about homophobic slurs, same as I've never heard a white guy complain about somebody calling him a *******.

I'm only mad that the guy got suspended because I got him on my fantasy squad

Norman is a bigger bitch to me than Odell. Running around in interviews crying to the media for justice. Man you should have handled that on the field. Eli said the same shit about his crying.

I can see why Cam jacked his ass up. Dude has a big mouth.

He starts crying victim AFTER he antagonized and initiated the dirty playing.

Mighty white of him.

Honestly idk don't know how to spot a fruitcake these days, they all pushing the lines of fruitiness nowadays, I'm lost.
I don't know if you can compare it to my days where dudes whore diamond earring in both ears, my pops generation was like wtf is that.
Very true. My father did the same the first time he saw a guy with double earrings or a guy with an earring in his right ear. Had to explain to him that it's not gay code anymore.

But today, I don't know what to say. Black Rappers wearing skirts, long shirt dresses, Capri pants and tights. Murses.
Doing gay type, coon dances started by the gay community in the South.

It's simply a bit too much.

I don't think it was a complaint, it was a justification for what he did.

yeah I heard that going in this morning..they were REALLY stressing the gay slur part

I'm not excusing OBJ for his blatant fuckery but some of y'all are being hypocrites saying he must be gay or why would he go crazy for being called gay. I know damn well a good amount of you would also snap if someone tried to question your manhood too. Personally I gives a fuck less if he's gay or not as long as he's on the field helping my team get a win. Last week his shenanigans hurt the team for the majority of the game and if he doesn't appeal will hurt us this coming week against the Vikings. I hope dude learned his lesson and can get back to playing football the way it should be played cuz what I saw on Sunday was shameful.

fair point

i was wrong

i still don't believe he should have been suspended for one incident. The officials should have stepped in early instead of acting like they were a MMA ref at the end of a round.

He might win the appeal, but it was the helmet on helmet that got him.. that concussion stuff is too serious right now for the league to not do something on that one.

I'm with u on this one... When I was 21, 22 this would've meant a long day for who ever was talking crazy to me

That why I don't think he will win his appeal. That helmet to helmet is his undoing. If the league let's him off they will be setting a precedence which will destroy their power in that area. If it happened during a play cool, but that premeditated after the play punk shit won't work.

Its not what he did but how he did it. You can go spearing dudes after a play because he hurt your feelings and not expect to get dealt with?! Man up and find that man after the game. These fake ass tough guys crack me up, starting a fight in an environment where you know before it gets too far it's going to be broken up. That shit ain't tough, it's bitchassness. That's why I laugh at people who sweat fools like KG... that dude isn't about that life, unless a camera is on and the arena is full.

I can understand ur point as well. Yeah... I doubt Odb wld've wanted a one on one with Norman in the parking lot after the game

He let homie get under his skin. He should've been tossed during the game AND suspended this week. If it was some regular ass, non-superstar ass nigga, this would be a non story and EVERYONE would be saying how the punishment is just

Isn't the idea to push the line... Isn't that part of the game? What we're talking about are incidents that happened outside of that part of the game... The reaction to the antagonizing. Black people are antagonized all the time... Everyday. Are we going to justify retaliation for being antagonized? I mean that's why people antAgonize ... To get a response (bc ur a threat).

So the NFL must no Odell is gay? That's why they're starting cape for him
I don't think that's the case. I think this is more of the fact that this is probably the first publicized case where gay slurs on the field are being brought up that it's blowing up. We all know that shit gets said on a regular basis and to go back to my previous statement, I don't know many brothers in their 20s who wouldn't snap when their manhood is being questioned regardless of if they're gay or not. This whole politically correct shit has jumped up multiple notches now that more people are leap frogging out the closet. Players are gonna have to really watch what they say now with all these boom mics & social media catching everything that happens in the game now.

This ain't it. Being called gay or a fag on the field does not cause a player to spaz out unless that player is gay. A woman questioning a mans manhood might cause this reaction but not another hyper masculine man bc being called a bitch (one way or another) in this sort of venue is meant to annoy and not indict.

This still unclear whether any Carolina Panthers players used gay slurs in provoking New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham on Sunday, but there is no doubt they questioned his masculinity.

Beckham was suspended for a game by the NFL on Monday after he committed three personal fouls and hit Panthers corrnerback Josh Norman with a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit. The bad blood boiled over after the game, with Norman going off:

"Fuck him. He's a bitch. Screw him and this whole setup," Norman said. "I hope the (NFL) takes a better look at it and see what they can do 'cause players like don't need to be in the game. ... It shows what kind of person he is."

Norman's teammate Cortland Finnegan, who also had an altercation with Beckham, added to this, saying, "He may have something in his blood. Maybe it's female-related."

To continue the theme that Beckham is less than a "real man," Norman talked about the receiver's playing style. "You going to get out here, and you're going to dance around and prance around like you're a ballerina, that goes to show you,"Norman said. "When you cut back layers, you see. Everybody saw that live on national TV. There's nothing that I can show that he hasn't already been exposed.

"The maturity level on him is just as a little kid. I think he needs to grow. I tried to do my best to respect people."

Adding to this, several writers have cited sources saying gay slurs were used against Beckham. "Giants players on the field heard Panthers defensive players direct anti-gay slurs and expletives at Beckham before the game, and the source believes that also helped set the confrontational tone for the game," ESPN's Ian O'Connor reported.

While no one has produce audio of any gay slurs being uttered, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders said Beckham definitely was taunted. "Then you start talking about his hairstyle," Sanders said. "Then you start talking about his sexuality. So now when you're talking about things like that of that nature, it goes way off the field into something because now this is personal."

It seems very likely that f-bombs of the gay nature were used. If Panthers players publicly and without hesitation use misogynistic terms to discuss Beckham, the idea that some of them didn't use gay epithets is hard to believe. Calling a player's "manhood" into existence has long been considered the ultimate football insult, and terms like "bitch" and "ballerina" imply someone who is not man enough to play football. People who use such language often equate being gay with being feminine, non-masculine and soft, so misogyny and homophobia are on the same continuum.

The irony for someone like Norman is that a world class ballerina would school him in a test of agility. Players in the past, including Hall of Fame receiver Lynn Swann, have taken ballet to improve their athletic skills.

None of this excuses what Beckham did during the game and his suspension is justified. However, if the NFL finds any hard evidence of a specific Panthers player using a gay slur, they need to send a message of zero tolerance by identifying the player and hitting him with a fine and a suspension.

Man Dudes have been called faggits for years and while it gets under your skin, it doesn't push you to THESE limits unless a nerve was struck. If the league falls for this bullshit pressure now EVERYBODY will be using it as an excuse and threatening to sue the league for discrimination if Beckham gets off for gay slurs but say a black man trips for getting called an N but his suspension is upheld. You still cant go out there and start throwing helmet shots just because your pride is hurt.

is there some lines that get crossed that have to be addressed though. Look at melo and kg, when he said Lala taste like Honey Nut Cheerios, melo took that shit to the parking lot. People say it shouldn't strike a neve unless it's true, well does she taste like that. Does kg actually know and hit?

At my youngest and craziest I never cared if a dude called me gay. My sexuality isn't attached to my manhood if you understand what trying to say. Questions my sexuality doesn't bother me if it comes from a dude.If a dude called me gay wouldn't bother me but Questioning my toughness or saying something like suck my dick would or calling me pussy thats testing my manhood.

I like Ryan Clark's take on it on First Take this morning. It was heightened because obviously it stands out on film since receivers rarely show physicality to that level, but honestly these type of plays happen all the time in the NFL especially in the trenches including the Crack back hits. I believe he should be fined, but not suspended.

Imo obj handled it more like a man than Norman is, everything that happened was on the field and the only thing that really stood out was the helmet to helmet hit, Norman won't stop running to every media outlet and crying about it. Most players just drop it, don't go to the media, and handle it on the field next time you see that guy again. Especially when Norman played a hand in the instigating too, it's not like he was innocent.

I concur but at the same time I've definitely seen dudes flip for being called gay as well. We don't know how he was being called out and perhaps it wasn't str8 up calling him a faggot but how it was insinuated that took OBJ over the edge. Either way he handled it incorrectly and his poor decisions cost him and the team. Life lesson for him hopefully.

Right

If you know it's not true then really who cares

If a defensive player would have targeted Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers the way Beckham targeted Norman, they would have been suspended for more than one game.

Yep. Agreed. Gonna be tough to win with the video showing what he did.
