When it really starts hitting home for them you will see a change. Without a shadow of a doubt TrumpCare is evil. When they start getting dropped from their insurance because of a preexisting condition. When their love ones start suffering because they can no longer afford their insurance premiums. When they start dying from preventable diseases that went uncared for because of a lack of insurance. That's when you will see a revolt. It's easy to look away and be ignorant when something doesn't affect you. But when your feet gets held to the fire and you go through a life altering illness. That shit will change you.

I remember years ago, the first time I heard that on CNN, I was like what the fuck is an Obamacare? Is that that ACA thing? Why are they calling it that?
I knew right then and there it was going to be a problem for Obama. He tried to correct folks on it in interviews and a few of his staff did too but the pundits ran with it and especially the enemy base and it stuck. This was also about the same time that every racist I know kept calling out his middle name like it was a trigger. As Obamacare problems mounted, they chased that shit down and essentially tagged "shame" to his name that will outlast him and his efforts in the presidency.
That shit is cold and childish and it worked.
I've only heard a few folks say Trumpcare and the his people (whilst appearing to fully endorse this fucked up bill) are trying their best to keep his name away from it.

The more things change....The best thing about the ACA was I could purchase insurance. I was no longer dependent on my employer. If the ACA were to fail I would probably have to find a job with great benefits. And I have burned way too many of those bridges in the last 3 years.

Because the news media has become 100 percent bitchmade when it comes to actually sticking it to Trump. They tried it with the first set of votes, and the GOP talking heads and Trump himself shot them down. Since they accepted that term for the ACA, they need to do the same with the AHCA. But now they're so busy worrying about ratings and not getting shut out that they're back to trying to be "fair and balanced". But calling something bullshit when it is, in fact, bullshit is fair. And balanced. So fuck them.
Even Trump knows that he doesn't want his name on this, because he knows that it's destined to screw people over. Somebody said it to him in an interview, and I think he looked like a deer in the headlights trying to get them to back off of it.
