I watched on television and read online articles about the Bush administration, the Obama administration, and congress bailing out the biggest bunch of thieves in this countries history and they (and some of yall) got the audacity to talk about someone stealing. Don't even begin to say that was a different situation. Stealing is stealing right?

And when I said they are going to far, thats exactly what they are doing. If you think for 5 minutes that the govt is going to stop at these latest possible additions to the law, you are a naive individual.

They are different situations but they are also the same thing. If you saw me defend those thieves on Wall Street, quote me. I was just having that conversation this morning about how none of those people that stole billions of dollars went to jail but my cousin can rob a convenience store for $100 (hypothetically) and do time. Yeah, it's unfair but my (hypothetical) cousin did rob the store so he can't complain when he gets popped.

I remember reading an article a few years ago stating how most Americans unwittingly commit up to 3 felonies PER DAY. It stated how the American legal system, both nationally and locally always changed the laws/rules from times to time. And after they changed these laws or implemented new ones theres always a lack of transparency. Certain laws arent even made clear to you until youre standing in front of the judge...lol

Now I know thats not the case with the subject at hand. Most people that STEAL music, movies, etc know that theyre stealing. And most of the thieves are warned about what can happen to them if they steal the content before they even steal it. Some like to say that theyre sharing..but lets keep it real..youre really stealing. But my point is keep your eyes and ears open for those that continue to criminalize of America. When it comes to locking people up for LONG PERIODS of times over stupid shit ....Capitalistic America is ranked #1 IN THE WORLD. Go figure.......

this is nowhere near stupid. People are needed in jail to do free labor. Don't download illegally and you won't have a problem plain and simple.

They always go after the people that download/buy the illegal content but they never go after the people WITHIN THE INDUSTRY that actually provide the content to the people that are pirating it.

Im not trying to justify stealing..all Im saying is provide some balance. This country has a habit of making over the top laws and going after the little man...but they let the people thats orchestrating the BS run wild. Both are at fault...so why not go after and penalize both parties?

The reason why stuff is pirated over and over again is because the industry itself has shady people working within it.

I agree with this . I'm telling on people I know who download. They should pay for content legally like I do. I'm giving up addresses, phone numbers and other info.

If the government stayed out of corporate business and didn't waste our tax funds policing for private corporations, their only option would be to LOWER THEIR PRICES. Thanks to Obama and Co., they can continue to gouge hard-working Americans.
For the government, its not even about that. Its about being able to have free reign to keep tabs on citizens and take away as many freedoms as possible.

iTunes solved the problem (for the most part) with artists being pirated. However I can't feel sorry for broadcasters. I don't understand why they can't broadcast the live streams for free WITH the commercials, same as you see on television, because that's what this all boils down too is the loss of advertising dollars.
