I hope it pans out,but i'm concerned about the traffic.That stretch of 880 is always crowded and there aren't many alternative routes that can be taken. The area I think will eventually blow is over by the old Army Base and that area past Jack London Square.Close to the Port so air quality won't be the best but that area has water views and close to SF.

I'm fucking that Asian. Also they need to build an A's stadium in Jack London Square and Rebuild the Raiders stadium at the old Army base over looking both downtown Oakland and sf. I should run for Mayor.

It's not victim, it's intentional.
I'm not saying the people in those communities are helpless I am saying that the people in charge of picking and choosing which communities receive funding, get grants for development and businesses and the police that enforce those areas work long and hard to make sure they stay that way.
The community would be 100x's better if they just left us the fuck alone.
Like to your point about the police, why would someone call the police on someone else when the police don't distinguish YOU from THEM?
If I called the cops on you because you were selling drugs or just raped or murdered someone, they're just as likely to shoot, arrest or kill ME on sight as they are you.
That has an affect whether we want to admit it or not. Especially since the people in those communities in charge of policing us intentionally don't look like us and don't live in those neighborhoods. You see what I'm saying?
Black people don't feel that way towards firefighters or EMT's do they? No. Because you guys come and do your jobs. You don't refuse to perform services on black folks. You don't refuse to put out a fire because it's in an undesirable neighborhood. But the police force DOES pick and choose who to SERVE and who to PROTECT.
Also, this is a long time coming. West Oakland paid for what it did with the panthers. How do you think all those black folks owned those old Victorian homes in the first place lol? It wasn't luck. It was because they were a community that was together that was intentionally torn apart.

Now that they want to live in the city they're snatching houses from people using predatory mortgage's (thanks wells fargo for stealing all these black houses and then giving the money you made to latin folks to increase their wealth) and other means swindling people who don't know any better..

It's funny your area is so far away, but what you describe is the situation up here and cacs aren't even trying to move to the city like that.
I just see apathy, but once cacs start doing shit, people get pissed off. I've also lived long enough to see the reverse. I've seen first hand how communities turn to shit. Apathy.
Stores and businesses just don't move because black people show up. Shit, black people spend money just like cacs. White flight happens with residents while businesses stay behind because people still spend money. Businesses end up leaving because of community apathy and the sheer amount of bullshit that follows that forces businesses out. Seen suburbs turn to hood in 25 years.
Cacs driving 30 minutes to work in good weather up here and are fine with it. Think about that shit with our winters up here.

I've only driven through there on my way to Travis Air Force Base. So I don't much about the place. But for some reason I always thought Oakland had a higher black population than that.

I'm sorry, but I STRONGLY disagree with you here.
My last Oakland spot was on Apgar near San Pablo, around the corner from the Pack n' Save. I can tell you first hand that these white gentrifiers are calling the cops on ANYBODY black that lives in a house they're trying to take over. The fact that some of them are drug dealers is just a happy accident.
When I went through my rent strike my landlord called the police on my roommate, a black man, and falsely accused him of brandishing a knife. As soon as the man was cuffed and in the squad car my white neighbor came running out of his house trying to introduce himself to the cops and talk shit about my downstairs neighbors being dope dealers.
Speaking of dope, lets keep it 100. In the last 7 years Oakland has developed a serious meth problem. There is no shortage of corner dealers and dope house pushing this poison either. Those gentrifiers brought their hillbilly habits along with them.
You want to talk about trash and dilapidated buildings. Let me ask you, why wasn't the city trying to deal with these problems when only black people wanted to live there?
