Oakland has nicer neighborhoods, larger yards, is more conveniently located, less expensive to pay rent in, buy a house in, go out in. Oakland has more fly Black and ethnic women. Oakland has more young professional Black folk. Oakland has more Entertainment venues and performances that cater to Black folk. Oakland has great restaurants that are not as expensive as those in SF. I went to High School IN San Francisco during the early 90s. The 90s are significant because 1) up until that point San Francisco was bustling with Black folks, 2) Silicon Valley/Dot Com businesses (an hour south of SF) exploded on to the scene.

A few years after that San Francisco became even nicer. Night life picked up, slums like Hayes Valley were torn down and replaced with nice apartment and condos, etc. The city benefitted greatly from the Dot Com Boom. However you began to notice a sharp decrease in the Black populous. The Census calls it "The Black Exodus". Most Black San Franciscans moved down south.

Now, they'll tell you who this mysterious entity known as "They" made things expensive and forced them out of the city. The reason why Blacks felt the need to move out of the city was:
1) They didn't take advantage of the Dot Com era.
2) They didn't value education.
3) Underachievement is the way of life for them.

They cry, whine and complain, point fingers, but they have no one to blame but themselves.

Why do I shit on Oakland? Like I said, Oakland is a shithole. Getting off on 12 and Broadway looks like a scene from "I am Legend". Oakland is not even in the same Galaxy as San Fran. Comparing SF to Oakland is like trying to compare Kenya Moore to Pinky. No matter how much lipstick you put on Pinky, it's still a fucking pig. The only decent areas of Oakland are the Hills and North Oakland where it merges in to Berkley.

Berkley by the way is nice, I used to kick it up there on the regular. So if you want to move to the East Bay, Berkley is JD Walker approved.

I like Oakland it's changed a ton since I been here. My 1600 sq ft condo I paid 500k for would cost me 4 million 6 miles away in sf. I have been robbed in sf twice at gun point. Not in Oakland.
