Oakland A's announcer said this hard R was a slip up.

n^gger is miles away from the word negro. If dude don't get fired niggas need to boycott the Oakland A's until they get his closeted racist ass up out of there.
If you have to do all of that to get a just end you might as well say fuck the A's as ab organization but no, motherfuckers are groomed from birth to be brainwashed about and by professional sports organizations

Yup. Now let him say the word faggot on air. He'd be fired immediately and never get an opportunity to work again!!!

That's because we're a weak collective, give our vote away, our single raised men are scaredy cat bish niggas, and don't demand anything. For us, all he needs to do is go to church with us, dance like he has the spirit, and help him get a raise. We forgive you, massa.

And he said that about a place celebrating the history of Black baseball players.

^^^^
Exactly.

the completely weak ass apology did not help at all. He had a chance to immediately show real remorse and in a few seconds just saw how devastated he was blah blah blah

Instead he said that lame sh*t

He needs to be flushed

People too quick to bitch about a double standard, don’t even give them a chance to fire the dude! The Reds broadcaster was not fired immediately.

You know darn well we always have to do a preemptive strike when it comes to white folk.

If we all just "waited" on their own better judgement, compassion, empathy and humanity toward black people...

Anyway I'll just leave it there.

Someone that does not use the word, would IMMEDIATELY realize the mistake.

Someone that uses the word on a regular basis, might not realize he said it, EVEN DURING A BROADCAST!!!

The weak cowardly apology says a lot as well. Someone that made a mistake that bad would come on and almost be in tears at that kind
of mistake.

Someone that says that word a lot did just what he did. He felt like he got busted saying a word he uses outside of work and was only upset that he got exposed!!!

Fuck that dude! I hope one of his friends comes out and says that he uses that word freely outside of work. Just to put that final few nails in his coffin.

I guess we all learned a lesson today, the word Negro and N*gger are the same words to white people.

One they use in public to describe us and the other they use in private amongst other white people to describe us.

Post of the day

I swear the lame apology somehow made it worse.

For comparison's sake, if you say "fag" they'll take you off the air before the game is over...

He was removed from the booth mid-game, suspended and eventually fired.

Also, him making the home run call in the middle of his apology was :roflmao:

Yeah... He gone for real. Looks like he hasn't been on air since that moment.

Suspension for on-air comments[edit]

Main article: A drive into deep left field by Castellanos
On August 19, 2020, while providing commentary on Fox Sports Ohio for the first game of an away doubleheader between the Reds and the Kansas City Royals, Brennaman was caught on a hot mic calling a city, later revealed to be San Francisco, "one of the fag capitals of the world."[5][6][7] The Reds pulled him off the air during the second game, with studio host Jim Day taking over play-by-play after the top of the fifth inning. Before leaving the booth, Brennaman apologized for his earlier anti-gay slur, saying that he was "deeply ashamed" if he "hurt anyone out there." He also hinted that his broadcasting future was in doubt, saying, "I don't know if I'm going to be putting on this headset again."[8][9]

Many people noted the awkwardness of the apology; as Brennaman rushed to inform viewers that "I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith", he suddenly paused to call a home run by Nick Castellanos.[10] He went on to state that he apologized to "the people who sign my paycheck", and asserted, "That is not who I am, and never has been. And I'd like to think that maybe I could have some people that, uh, that could back that up."

Later that night, the Reds announced that Brennaman had been suspended indefinitely pending an internal review.[8] The following day, Fox Sports announced that Brennaman would not be part of its NFL broadcast roster in 2020.[11]

Brennaman wrote a longer apology for The Cincinnati Enquirer the next day, after speaking to openly gay MLB inclusion ambassador Billy Bean. He also called WCPO-TV anchor Evan Millward, who posted an editorial on his station's website criticizing his FS Ohio statement as a non-apology apology, and said he would reach out to the LGBTQ+ organization PFLAG to make further amends.[12][13] Almost a month later, Brennaman officially resigned from the Reds and Fox Sports Ohio; however, the Reds had already informed Brennaman that he would not return for the 2021 season.[14] Brennaman told USA Today that he realized his remark "hurt a lot of people" and that he will "have to live with it for the rest of my life."[15]

Brennaman was replaced by John Sadak for Reds games, and Kevin Kugler for NFL games on Fox.

Brennaman's apology quickly became an internet meme among baseball fans.[16] The meme evolved into a correlation between Nick Castellanos and hitting untimely home runs, such as when he hit a home run during the eulogy for a World War II veteran on a Royals broadcast[17] or when he hit a home run on the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.[18] The meme eventually gained mainstream popularity, frequently being used as a copypasta in response to public apologies that were perceived as non-apologies. Social media users would mockingly reiterate the perceived non-apology in question only to interrupt with Brennaman's infamous home run call, making a satirical comparison to Brennaman's heavily criticized apology

Who you are when you think people aren’t listening is exactly who you are.

And the place he was talking about might be the fag capital! :roflmao:
