Explain what? How much of these white boys on the job are egomanics and don't realize there are others who out rank them that they have to answer too?
I don't go looking for people to bust their asses. I patrol highways that's it that's my function until I am assigned to do otherwise.
We cops have a lot of decretion but a lot of them don't use it and only a small few do.
I saw that vid of the Miami dade major and that sheriff. Honestly they both were dicks, however once the Major identified himself and show his creds the Sheriff was like so what and still wanted to give him a pointless summons that was going to get dismissed regardless.
The judge told that sheriff don't was his time and courts time with b.s
The sheriff wanted to write the major for having a plate frame that covered the county name yet plates are clearly visble to be read.
Now I am sure matter of fact positive in an officers patrol guide it tells you how to deal with off duty encounters with police.
Cops in the south will write their mothers up before they extend professional courtesy to members of law enforcement

Bosses look out for their own and what I mean by that basically they look out for other bosses in their rank. That is the top of the food chain above Captain.

I blame this shit on the Commissioner. They send raw recruits to the worst areas to learn the job. Fucking stupid. They learn ghetto soldier tactics and keep it going through their careers.
Not all cops are like this. I've had a ton of tickets thrown in the trash by cops. They should weed out all the psychos via psych profiling in the academy.

Well with the lack of recruits willing to take the job with NYPD and their starting salary its tough to meet that 1700 per academy class the nypd is looking for they applicant processing divison is very lack on the background of most of their recruit. As long as you don't have any felonies then your good. They hire niggas who been arrested before for assault and other shit.
New recruits have been tools for the city to generate revenue in writing C summons and parkers and they do this is mostly if not all minority neighborhoods whether its black, hispanic, asian, indian or whatever.
If new recruits understand how the NYPD works then they will get rewarded with promotions and commendations for being ticket whores but nah they want to go play cops and robbers and shit. If NYPD looks down on their officers looking for real crime then as an officer who wants to make it up the ranks you have to adopt that mentality and keep your nose clean of all off duty incidents and potentially on duty them you will go real far in the nypd.

I wonder if they tried to beef about giving up their gun and badge on the spot. Wow. Im sure some white union rep is ready to defend them. Dateline did a special on this case a few years ago.
The black trooper was convicted and suspended or put on desk duty for a month i think.
The white cop had alot of his case thrown out for pulling people over (80% black) for the very samething he pulled the trooper over for.
The name of the county was covered on the rear plate.
A judge TOLD the cop personally, it is not legal for him to pull over a car for that reason because it's not a ticketable offence.
Plus there would be no way to see if the county was covered unless you were already pulling the person over.
The bottom line is they both had the COP MENTALITY. Thats why it escalated the way it did.
It is possable that these 2 NYPD cops could quit then go work for a smaller department if they are not convicted of a crime in this case.
They do this all the time in my area. If a cop is discharged they are able to go to another department because they are already trained and they need the man power.

Naw it don't work that way here in NY homes. Thats a disciplinary action by the NYPD taken against those officers. Even if they want to go to another department it would be tough for the smaller department to either 1. Get their personnel file or 2. state why they lost their duty weapon due to being on modified duty.
Either way them officers are blackballed.
