the fact is this, the success of gangsta crap is a choice!
And the planet Earth is the only planet of choice.

-Number one: record labels choose to spend their money
on hiring and promoting gangsta rappers/rap.

-Number two: the radio stations and MTV etc choose to play and promote it.

-Number three: the CD and Online-download buying public choose to purchase it.

You can lead a horse to water but you CANNOT make it drink.

that's a pointless oversimplification
One could make the same assessment about people addicted to drugs.
And the fact would remain the same .. that it's a problem and in some way a plague and we are no less obligated as civilized and responsible men and women to fight to correct what is wrong in our communities.. lest we become a victim of our own apathy.

Evil exists and persists where it is unchallenged.
