That station is located just mins away from tons of bars where white boys be getting smashed 24-7 I wonder if the victim was a patron to any of the local bars in the area.

Didn't think about this one.
But you're probably right.

I work down the block.
And on weekend nights,
You try to avoid most of the sidewalks stepping on vomit and trash.
Especially from a lot of those NYU students.

The White Girls can be just as bad with alcohol too.
But they tend to be harmless cock-teases for the most part.

The Manhattan subway station where a rider became wedged between a train and a movable platform extension has more gap incidents than any other station, according to statistics.

Riders stepped into the space between a train and platform at the Union Square station a combined 14 times in 2008 and 2009. That's more than double the station with the second-highest tally.

The potential danger came to light Friday night when Michael Dion was critically hurt. Dion, 41, was standing on or near a retractable grate as it began to fill the gap between the platform and a No. 4 train, witnesses said.

Dion fell and was pinned between the grate and the train for 30 minutes before he was freed. He suffered a broken pelvis, crushed intestines and other injuries, friends who visited him at Bellevue Hospital said.

The extenders were placed in the station because the platform is on a curved stretch of track, creating a wide gap. That, plus high ridership, are likely reasons why Union Square has the most incidents, NYC Transit said.

"We tell riders to stay behind the yellow line and away from the platform edge," NYC Transit spokesman Charles Seaton said.
