Nuggets VS Mavericks - Play-offs Semifinals, who you got ??

Re: Nuggets

5) Kenyon Martin is 100% healthy & buying into Karl's system, which has carried over to the entire team.

6) Carmelo Anthony has completely bought in and even though he is no longer scoring 30 points a game he is better player now than he ever was

and the record stuff really doesn't mean much conisdering how tight the west is record wise for the playoff teams outside of the Lakers

Re: Nuggets

i might start another thread about this, because it deserves some discussion.

there's some factors i think need a closer look:

1) allen iverson left, and some felt it would be a case of addition by subtraction. removing allen iverson would improve the team. but the team only won 4 more games.

2) chauncey billups arrived, and has played well. and i think chauncey billups has improved the team more through leadership and providing a steady veteran leadership on the floor. but again, the team has only won 4 more games.

3) nene hilario returned, and has played well. has he been the actual x-factor?

4) dahntay jones and j.r. smith have stepped into their roles well. how much did they contribute to the success of the team?

addition by subtraction = better chemistry
Given the chance, others will always step up
but that's a different thread. This one is
about clowning Nitwitski (or should be)

Carlisle is cool he just seems like a more seasoned Avery. You know, one of those good coaches that got fired a couple of times, and grew because they learned from their mistakes

I thought they didn't like Carlisle here. One of those stations accused him of being a dickhead basically lol. I mean I can't knock the cat in his 1st year but his ego gets the best of him from what i've seen. He knows the X's and O's. Probably as good as anyone in the league. But I think dudes like Green don't get PT because of his big ass ego.

I have heard almost nothing but props given to him

They LOVE the fact he is getting JJ out there...on a real contender he is no better than the 3rd guard off the bench

Carlise knows basketball but damn all these coaches do, you can't blame him for this season cuz he is working with what he got pretty well

I don't really like him that much though..I hate his roatations and the way he uses the timeouts

That is the main criticism he gets is his rotations

IMO, coach carlisle has done a good job.

team scoring is UP over last year.

opponent scoring is DOWN from last year.

opponent FG% is DOWN from last year.

take a look at what coach karl has done on the other sideline in comparison:

team scoring is UP over last year.

opponent scoring is UP over last year.

opponent FG% is UP over last year.

Man, Nuggets y'all gotta learn to play on the road cuz you might be starting off on the road if LA wins.

Where D-Town at?????

Somebody make sure that dude ain't heading over to the arena to try an merk a ref....:lol::lol:

This dude said he fouled him after he puts his hands up to show he didn't foul him.

no u put your hands up to let the ref know youre responsible for the foul

thats been a golden rule of the game since it was invented

:lol::lol:

Mavs mad as fuck!!! Mark Cuban shoved a cameraman!! I don't know about anyone else but I have been enjoying the fuck out of the playoffs this year.

That's Dirks main problem. While his teammates, coach and the owner were out their arguing the end of the game Dirk just walks away, shows no fire, just takes it.

That was a bump. A bump is not a foul. The reason why Wright thought that he could get a call from that is because there is a lot of touch fouls in today's game; however, i'm more happy that they realize that that's not a foul. That was a tap.

If you're going to intentionally foul, foul hard or wrap him up. Dude was playing D AND put his hands up. What you expect?

I agree, he should have just wrapped him up. If anything, the refs AREN'T going to call a touch foul in that situation, when the stakes are so high.

*edit -they had been calling touch foul all night, so I can see the MAVS point though*

Because it was a lot of his fault. There was like a 3 second differential and he fire an early shot.

How much time was on the shot clock when Dirk shot that?

There was like a 3 second differential between the shot and game clock.
