But that's the thing. I had mine in my pocket the whole time I was in the ocean when I went down to Ocean City Maryland and I had no issues at all with the phone. So that's strange.
I already broke down and used the insurance with what came out to a $275 deductible. As you know, the phone is a lease and they want it back eventually..
Seriously tho....my side hustle is fixing phones ,, I learned fucking around here! Been doing it for a few years now.
Sprint has a VERY limited "repair / service center" they actually do very little repair work. They have a time/repair value ceiling, once your phones repair cost & time exceed that, they tell you its unfixable.
Once they separate/open ya phone they are looking for the very small white indicators, when these get wet from the moisture ya body produces when its in your pants / jeans pocket or from any other outside source those indicators will turn pink & where ever the water inside the phones goes so does the now pink water until it dries.
What I usually do is charge customers a fee to clean the phone & replace the indicators with new ones so they can make an insurance claim that has nothing to do with water damage. Looking @ it they wont be able to tell.. they wont be checking for water damage because they dont SEE any.... so why would there be any????
Seal the phone back with the factory tape that you can order from samsung
new phone / you out $250 + $100 for my fee
the deductible is slightly less than the price of a note8 LCD replacement. NEVER EVER send your phone to the service provider unless you have no other options. Once they log the issue there is no turning back. Most people dnt read the contracts they sign thus arent aware of what they are paying for & what they actually get. Not covering water damage for waterproof phones is slick some solid tick a niggaah shit
I don't think no one is going to outdo samsung with the accessory game but their quality has been suspect for a while. Their shit is priced too high for their fuckery imo.
I'm starting to think that the construction on my particular device is lacking. But knowing what I know now, if I were you, I wouldn't take that risk anymore knowing that don't stand behind their claim.
I got a note 9 and I'm getting the message that there is moisture detected in the charging/USB port. My phone hasn't been near any water smh. Phone been like this for like 3 days. Have to cut off the phone to charge it. Can't charge the phone if the phone is on and this notification is up. The notification disappears after I charge it for awhile but comes right back smh.

A few things, is this only with one charging cable?
I quickly googled it, and saw if you try to power down, while charging, then power back up. Should make it go away.
Then the other option is to go into the settings, then apps, then look for USB settings. Delete the data and cache for that.
If none of that works, return it for a different model. Something may be wrong with that one. I don't see other Note 9 with the issue "yet" but the Note 8 had it, it seems.
