NIS 2008 is fairly new and at present there is no software crack available to activate it, but...if you must have it longer than the 15 days, buy it, wait for the sw crack or...

Nice lil manual crack:

1. If you have NIS2007 installed already uninstall it.
2. Reinstall Norton Internet Security 2007 and activate it.
3. Go to the NIS2007 install folder, should be like C/Program Files/Norton Internet Security and copy the file CLTVault.dll somewhere safe (we'll need it soon).
4. Now, Install NIS2008 right over NIS2007, it will activate, fail, you get 15 day trial msg. (stay chill)
5. Now, restart in safe mode, replace the file NIS2008 CLTVault.dll with the old NIS2007 file you copied earlier.
6. Restart in normal mode, and activate you'll get remainder of the NIS2007 subscription (skip, ignore all error messages and skip the "norton account" profile creation.
7. Norton Protection Center shows up a red 'X' on the Taskbar but yet all the products work just fine.
8. Test it at http://eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm
9. You can also LiveUpdate NIS by running luall (Start-->Run-->In the 'Open' box type luall-->Click OK).
10. Was it worth it...?
