So yeah how are niggas with no buzz outselling albums they dropped previously that actually had monster hits on them? This shit makes no sense to me. Meek doing 200k. J. Cole doing 400k......cats dropping albums with no promotion and doing numbers. This shit crazy.
Props to his production team. He raps over some hot ass beats....which is why most are able to tolerate his music.
The reason Meek album is tolerable was because of the beats as well.
Most of them guys just repeat the same things that u hear from other rappers. They just tell it from their perspectives. Even tho the material is monotonous....the hooks and beats WHEEL you in. We've all rocked our heads to a lot of wack shit.....but its music...the beat grabs you....shit happens.
Btw.....theres no need for major promotion now ah days. Especially when u have the internet and social media at your finger tips.
