That's pretty fucked up because it was a life saver to me when I went there in May.

Uber will not be issued a new private hire licence, Transport for London (TfL) has said.

TfL concluded the ride-hailing app firm was not fit and proper to hold a London private hire operator licence.

It said it took the decision on the grounds of "public safety and security implications".

Confirming it would appeal against the decision, Uber said it showed the world "far from being open, London is closed to innovative companies".

Some 3.5 million passengers and 40,000 drivers use the Uber app in London.

Bruh, fucking taxis in London are absurd. Had a show in London and paid damn near £90 for a fucking taxi ride from the Heathrow Renaissance to Shoreditch. Caught the tube on the way back for the low. Fuck that.

Good. They shouldn't be allowed to operate anywhere unless drivers are subjected to the same license and insurance requirements that taxi drivers are. Or completely eliminate those requirements for all drivers.

Lol, I don't but have represented some transportation companies and the shit is fucked up. They can deregulate the transportation industry but won't because of public safety concerns but allow ride share companies to operate unregulated.
