Bro, when I tell you I ate here Friday, I would have ate here yesterday, but I got stuck in Baltimore with some friends, but I'm eating here right now - like right now, and I'm coming back tomorrow before I head home.
Just to give you an example of the bigger details of this place and how it matters.
Last November, a friend of mine discovered that she had cancer for the second time. After beating breast cancer and having a double mastectomy, she now had stomach cancer. I brought her down here to the restaurant for a weekend getaway.
The first day she got sick, and I told the owner that she was battling cancer for the second time, this time stomach cancer. The following day he came to the table and asked if she had any food allergies, and she said no. He said he would make her something special, and he did.
He brought her something off menu, and delicious. I don't know what it was, but she said not only was it delicious, but it made her feel better. She felt so special.
The owner brought it to the table himself.
The following day before we went home, the head chef brought her the same dish. Both times it was free of charge.
Today, the owner came to my table and asked how my friend was doing, and I told him she was doing just fine. The reason I come here is deeper than what it looks like. This is truly my happy place
