Nicki Minaj Endorses Mitt Romney

Why do people care who she supports? It's not that serious.
I don't know but in todays society people care way to much about the small thing's while ignorantly ignoring things they should care about.

democrat & republican,poor & wealthy,white & black=Divide & conquer.
It's sad that so many of us fall into that hole that we are aware thats there but most of us continue walking in that direction anyways.

This train is never late.

Doesn't make him wrong. Anyway, they are all on the same team, they are just smart enough to have others fight theses inane battles to keep focus off of their shady doings.

They've also been a hindrance to the progression of black folks. The white liberals that run the party an the black conspirators thrive off of black poverty. There message isn't self empowerment/determination with (some)government help. It's here's some welfare and it's not your fault. So they are not that much better than the rethuglicans.

I think if you look honestly at the policies and politics of the Dems vs the GOP (including an honest assessment of economic results) there's really no equivalence between the two parties. The Dems come out waaaay ahead.

I don't even like the Corporate Democratic Party..... but I acknowledge that they are the infinitely superior option when paired up against the Republicans.

Just my opinion.

:lol: Please explain whats so infinitely superior about the democratic party.

They're more competent stewards of the economy for one. You can look over data from the past 50 years or so nationally to corroborate this (you can also see the same fact generally reflected at the State level as well). Dems aren't trying to dial things back to the 1950's either (whether we're talking in terms of women's right to choose, or disenfranchising American voters along race and class lines). While Dems and Repubs share marching orders from the plutocrats on Wall Street.... one party at least acknowledges that intelligent regulation is the key to reforming a flawed system (although they're both failures in this regard honestly). On foreign policy the differences between the two are more tonal than substantive but tone matters. We all know how fucking belligerent the GOP is. Dems have also made Health Care more accessible to a large segment of our society..... this alone merits serious plaudits.

Whether we're talking about tax policy, energy policy, health policy, school policy..... really ANY substantive issue... the Dems have a saner more intelligent approach than the Republicans. It's worth repeating I don't even like the Dems.... I'm more of a "social democrat" or "progressive" kind of guy. But for all their weakness and corporate whoredom they are simply a much more intelligent choice than the Republicans.

Nicki Minaj Is Not Registered To Vote

If Nicki Minaj makes the decision to endorse Mitt Romney in the forthcoming election, she may want to take care of something first: registering to vote.

Minaj was flooded with media clips Tuesday (Sept. 4) when a snippet from her lyrics on Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape revealed that she is a Republican and voting for Romney. The line may have been blown out of proportion but in an age when personal information is just a Google search away, the 29-year-old was quickly exposed for her voting past, or lack thereof.

As it turns out, in the three states where she’s lived, Minaj is not registered to vote. Having resided in Georgia, New York and California the Young Money Barbie never seemed to find the time to fill out and mail in a registration card, or do it online.
Minaj’s Romney lyrics, although pretty self-explanatory, have been picked apart with a fine tooth comb, mostly due to the fact that she’s Black and got her footing in the Hip-Hop world. Placing her in both boxes brings forth the automatic assumption that she would be a supporter of President Obama who has a large majority of the Black vote, and has been praised by many of her partners in rhyme, including Jay-Z and Young Jeezy. The idea that she would stand on the side of Romney, who offers very conservative views on topics like abortion and gay rights (the latter of which makes up a good portion of Minaj’s fan base, since there was a time when she announced herself as the first “gay rapper”), was jarring to many in the online world who littered the social media sector after hearing of her alleged allegiance to 65-year-old former governor.

To be fair, she never signed up to be a spokesperson for voting, but she had to know that the lyric was going to cause a little controversy, which may have been her intention.

She also said she hangs out with zombies in Florida. :hmm: I suspect she was going for shock value.

She mentioned something about hanging with zombies and the devil also.

Why is this news or thread worthy

Why do people care who she supports? It's not that serious.

Well that quite different than being infinitely superior. Like I stated previously. They've also been a hindrance to the progression of black folks. I don't buy all the self-determination, Ayn Rand "I DID BUILD THAT!" rhetoric from the GOP in the first place. So I'm not sure that it's a valid indictment of the Liberals at all.

Nor do I think that welfare, lack of responsibility and laziness are at the core of the problems faced by the black community. Honestly I see a lot of problems with the Dems but I DO think they are infinitely superior to GOP.... not because they're so great but because the GOP is a fucking clown show.

Who actually listens to anything that a "celebrity" has to say, which includes politics. Really I don't even listen to this chicks music but thought she had a fat ass, only to learn it's implants. The only thing she can do for me is take the money shot to the face.

I'm not even talking about Ayn Rand or any other such rhetoric. You mean to tell me you don't believe in people determining their own future?
One of the biggest problems in the black communities is the lack of self determination. The lack of wanting more and the acceptance of just getting by. We except everyone in our community making money except for us. We except taking jobs instead of creating jobs. Now this isn't everyone one in the community but just too many in the community.

If you are black and support Romney you are a coon. The republicans are against anything that helps poor minorities, they are also the go to party for all racists, war mongers, and worst of them all, Jesus freaks.

I have no problem with self-determination. I do pretty well for myself.

There are some "cultural" issues that might need addressing but they're deeply related to the historical injustices and persisting systemic and institutional problems that we have to contend with.

I really don't think "welfare" or "hand-outs" are the problem. The kinds of issues you're probably most concerned about are moral and educational in nature and require the kind of moral leadership politicians are completely unable to provide.

We have to stop with this "cultural issue". At some point you have to take destiny in your own hands and stop handicapping yourself (not you). Welfare is a problem because it just pushes along a problem (not solve it). That's why the black community still continues to suffer high poverty/unemployment rates. It doesn't solve anything.

There is so much money pumped into black neighborhood but who really benefits? How many more social programs do we need to get folks to do for themselves? How long do we wait for racism to go away? The clock is ticking everyday while others pass us by.

I don't know man. I really don't see it this way. I don't look at massive social problems as being driven or explained by the extremely meager social safety net we have in this country. Most developed countries have much more robust safety nets for their citizens.

Safety net is what it's was suppose to be but it's become lifestyle for generation of folks.

The problem here is that you are only look at the system of welfare. I not only talking about the system but the people who benefit most from it. Folks who benefit keeping generations of folks on the dole. I'm also talking about the mindset of the people who've become excepting of a life of low expectations. This is then passed on their kids.
