Remy & Nicki don't belong in the same category.
This is all due to female rap being a sub-genre of hip-hop.
If it were males this would be like Joe Budden vs. Future. Like if they'd had a personal history, and Joe Budden was airing out a beef with Future even though they are in totally different lanes. Nicki didn't rise off just lyricism or an allegiance to the New York sound. She went the southern route, the pop route, the sex route, the fashion route, the list goes on. Plus, Nicki just has a more attractive look, to most people. It's racist but reality. She's light skinned, got a hook nose (cacs identify with this), talks like a jewish grandmother and a hoodrat all at the same time. Plus her personality and delivery is very dynamic and theatric...extra. People eat that shit up. Plus, she's on stage next to the biggest "current" stars, Drake, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, all A-listers, (unlike Fatass Joe and Papoose, which no young people give a FUCK about these days) All of this adds up to her being a pop icon.
So as Steve Harvey said, "The dog barked at the moon. The moon barked back and made the dog famous." Nicki can respond, but it will only help to legitimize Remy.
It's as if Remy thinks if Nicki wasn't hating on her she would be as big as Nicki. First of all, she was in jail for 6 years. Secondly, Remy might be a talented rapper, but there are plenty of poor talented rappers.
Remy has run out of gas or eventually will. You can only be on the attack so long before the 15 mins of that episode is up. Putting out the second track, which was weak, helped to turn the 15 min into 5 min. Nicki put some titty out there. And if she keeps doing that for 5 more min, Nicki won.
