i agree with this. I keep hearing the name Trent Williams though...we'll see.

yeah I have been hearing the same....Shananhan likes Williams because of his zone blocking sceme that he used while coaching denver...Williams is quick and athletic. but to me you cant go wrong with either.

true..it seems that williams is more raw athletic ability with more upside while Okung is stronger and more polished. it will be interesting to see what we do. I Still think the skins got something shady up their sleeve concerning trades/swapping picks, etc.

Also I hope they Trade Albert Butterworth..... I would try to trade him for the Rams for their 2nd round pick, which is the 1st pick in that round.

I agree...they are known for that. I just hope Bruce and Mike will be smart...

If Spiller is around at 13 the 9ers will pick him, they can't afford to let him drop to Seattle. Don't be surprised if the 9ers don't pick an O-Lineman with the first 2 picks. There's a lot of talent in this draft

At first I thought they might go after Spiller also...
But now that they picked up ted ginn jr from the dolphins, he will be used for kick & punt returns
Spiller won't really see the field much behind Frank Gore
I really think the 9ers want to go w/ a Oline Tackle & Oline Guard w/ the 1st two picks but it all depends on who falls to them

Unfortunately, I think the seachickens might pick up a Oline Tackle 1st pick, then Spiller 2nd pick
They might have a decent draft this year
I'm just glad they didn't get Brandon Marshall from the Broncos !!!

:smh:

Dez Bryant, WELCOME TO DALLAS!!!! I hope anyway.

i know the rest of the NFC east is privately hoping haynesworth goes elsewhere

Why? I hope his sorry lazy ass stays and keeps eating up Snyders pocket so he can always remember why to never pay that much to a lazy ass defensive tackle.

one of the NYG lineman mentioned that last yr in an interview. For what it's worth, i would'nt want to have to block against him.

Yo homie what kinda ganja are you smokin ???
There's no way in HELL bulaga will get past the 49ers
The 49ers are pickin #13 & #17 & they need a right tackle really bad

At #13 they gonna pick
1)Best tackle left out of (Bulaga, Williams, Davis)
2)or CB - Joe Haden
3)or NT - Dan Williams (surprise pick)
4)or Trade down

At #17 they gonna pick
1)OG - Mike Iupati
2)or OLB - Brandon Graham
3)or S - Earl Thomas

GO 49ERS NFC WEST IS OURS THIS YEAR BITCHES

I see you know our team very well homie. Good to see an educated fan.

you're right about that unfortunately :(

All the experts have the Bengals taking TE Jermaine Gresham withthe 21st pick, I like this pick. Palmer has never had a big time TE to throw to. However I have a feeling we end up taking Taylor Mays from USC, A pick that I absolutely hate. Dude has all the size & speed but no ball skills.

He didn't do a damn thing against Dallas. :smh::smh:

Well were not getting Berry but it would have been nice to have him.Skins are interested in him.
Landrys a fucking bum.

I think 21 is a bit early for Mays. But I think if a team can use Mays to his abilities its the Bengals because they have to solid corners already. Basically from what I hear May is Roy Williams. Mike Zimmer coached Roy Williams in some of his best years. Roy also had Darren Woodson alongside him but with the corners the Bengals got? Mays can work with the Bengals I think.

in that MNF game where skins got shutout 17-0, haynesworth made 2 stops on 4th and inches. he clogs the middle. he missed the other game.

You forget that Gore has been injured every single year for the past 3 years. While I'm a Gore fan I'm realistic, he won't hold up for a full season and glen coffee is garbage. We need a solid back up RB.

I don't know who they are going to pick but if the 49ers aren't picking offensive linemen with there first two first round picks they are fucking up.

Which ones that should be I don't know but that tackle out of Maryland looks like he has the attributes to be a good tackle in the NFL.

Man fuck that talent shit, the 9ers need to go for need and improvement on the offensive line is what they need. Going by predictions there should be good lineman available at those picks.

If they pick talent over need then I am going to already prepare for another losing season. They already haven't done shit to improve the QB situation and looks like they not going to give Davis a shot(signing D. Carr).

If they pick Haden or Spiller with those first round picks I give up.:hmm:

Baalke: 49ers' draft based on talent, not need

8-8 is not a losing season...

While I don't like Alex, who are they suppose to get? I understand not going after McNabb because that would have meant picking up his 11 million dollar payout for this year...

If they pick Haden or Spiller with those first round picks I give up.:hmm:

The Clauson rumors are getting louder. That would certainly fix our QB situation for the future. While I agree that they need o-line help in the worst way, probably more than any other team in the league, they'd be fools to let Spiller fall to Seattle if they have the chance to draft him. I'm luke warm on Haden.

They have to draft O-line homie. RT is the #1 glaring need. It's been a thorn in their side for years (except Staley's rookie season). They have to grab a Tackle then a Saftey or Corner with the other pick.

Good lineman are in every draft. Not good RBs. Gore is injury prone. When he was out, WE HAD NO RUNNING GAME. NONE. Coffee is GARBAGE. WE HAVE NO BACK UP RB. If Spiller is there, they gotta take him.

We weren't successful with the run for several reasons when Gore was out.
1 - Coffee's inexperience. Hitting the wrong holes and such.
2 - The O-line was bad several games. Early in the season the guard pull/trap plays weren't working at all.
3 - The threat of the pass wasn't there. Teams stacked the box and dared Hill to get beat us.

I would love to see a speed back in the backfield. Someone shifty who can bounce to the outside and stretch these defenses. That points to Spiller (if he's there). But we still need to address RT. Adam Snyder is a guard trying to pose as a Tackle. That shit aint working.

A good running back makes an impact imediatley. It ain't gonna workout with Coffee.

It'll take another year before the 9ers get the personnel to compete for a Superbowl.

steps in the right direction and building it the right way
building through draft and grooming players like we used to do.
this year playoffs
next year contender
after that possible super bowl, if the progression continues.

last year we didn't know how to win we had several games right in our grasp and we were in every single game with a chance to win with the exception of the falcons game. now we've been through hopefully we learn from it and these loses turn into wins. we were 8-8 last year with 1 messed up coverage (minnesota) i bad half(texans) i mistake defensively (colts) and one slip up (seattle) from being 12-4

Man, I like spiller too but honestly we just can't afford to take him
Your oline will make your RB & QB look better
Coffee didn't do anything last season but neither did Gore (even when healthy)
Gore had Dlinemen & Linebackers in his face as soon as the ball was handed off
Also, your forgetting that our left guard David Baas is entering his last contract year
He will want a big payday for mediocre work
In addition to that David Baas always stays injured - more than Gore !!!
We need Olinemen bad !!!

Yo, is it just me or did they invite some muthafukas to this draft that are going to be sitting there for a WHILE?

The only reason an 8-8 season would not be a losing season in my book would be based on a teams recent history and with the niners that was a ok season(I know technically it is .500). To the winning teams of the 80's and 90's 8-8 is a losing season.

When I said they hadn't done much in free agency I wasn't just talking about the Q.B position I was talking about in general as far as addressing what the team needs. Who they could have signed at quarterback? I don't know but D.Carr is not even close to the answer. On top of the fact that it has been said that there isn't a salary cap this year I was expecting more from them.

Unlike the N.D. haters that can't put aside their feelings to see what goes on on the field(I don't like N.D. either), I think Clausen is going to be a good q.b. but that would be a horrible pick for us to make with the first round picks we have. If he could some how fall to the second round and he is there when we pick I would be good with it. One of the first round picks, no. Either way I have to just except the picks they make and hope. I'm getting tired of hoping.:hmm:

Gore got over 1000 yards behind that horrible line and after missing 3 games due to injury. Coffee is garbage, he needs to get cut, point blank.
