A Google USB-C engineer has been pointing out which cables are good/problematic at Amazon

I know all about that.. it really only affects USB-C to USB-A cables, not USB-C to USB-C
The only USB-C to USB-A cables I've bought are from iOrange-E and they're on Benson's "approved" list
Here's a link to a Google spreadsheet with all Nexus accessories. The 1st sheet shows which cables have been approved by the Google engineer
