I believe the Cop approached the situation wrong. However, if the person would just let the Cop explain the reason, both wouldn’t be so defensive. 2 things need to happen here, First the Officer needs to State his reasons for the Stop if you will, then said Officer should allow person to show proof of payment. 2nd After explaining why, and the Cop asked for I D, give it to the Officer, and you won’t have a problem. Because in the end, you’ll have a bad day n there isn’t a reason to.
