News Flash Obama: No such thing as non-combat troops

You're really pissing me off with this retarded, childish bullshit of yours.

The democrats voted for the war. It's not all Bush's fault.

I swear, dumbasses like you are incapable of looking at the possibilities of the worst case scenarios.

Obama is a politician and the president... not a fucking messiah. Get that through your thick skull, knucklehead.

This is a rather disingenuous statement. Dems voted for the Iraq war based on information that was massaged... or "sexed up" to create the illusion that Iraq presented "a gathering threat to the US". Make no mistake about it....the neocons drove us headlong into Iraq and no amount of historical revisionism will change this.

You're not insinuating that the dems are not corrupt, are you? Were LBJ and FDR not Dems?

Dems are not heroes. Obama is not a hero. I get the feeling some people are making a mistake by over trusting him. That's evident by the unnecessary amount of defense and fear mongering via racism that goes on here.

please, everybody and their mama knew bush was lying. the whole WORLD was incredulous. millions of people marched - including me - beforehand. iraq was NO THREAT. any democrat who says they thought it was is lying straight up. they voted for the war for political reasons.

Oh.....don't get me wrong. Dems are spineless hacks for the most part with some notable exceptions ....but on the whole they're infinitely preferable to Republicans. It's clear Obama is facing unprecedented challenges wrought by 8 years extreme mismanagement. I find posts like yours...which seek to hold Obama accountable for the clusterfuck engineered by GW's administration silly for the most part....hence my reaction. No hero worship on my part.

I think it's easy for you and I to pat ourselves on the back for seeing through this charade from the get-go. It's different when you're on the inside......it's different when you're getting official intelligence briefings that suggest a clear and present danger. Chances are you've experienced the perils of groupthink at one point or another in your life...it's real. Apart from the few Reps who were actually awake (typically progressives motivated by love of public service...ie Kucinich etc) the rest of these clowns barely acquainted themselves with the salient facts about the region they condemned to hell. Anyone familiar with Mid East politics knew why it was absurd to link Saddam and Al-Qadea.....most Senators and Congressmen not so much.

Come on. Senators and Congressmen knew Bush was lying. You know how cynical things are in DC? I've been up in that shit its CORRUPT THAN A MUTHAFUCKA.

Zero question that they KNEW BUSH WAS LYING. its not even a question :hmm:

I'm not blaming it on Obama. Bush was the president that did it. But, this is now Obama's responsibility. And he has the duty to be a bit more honest to all of us in not calling the 50,000 troops that will remain in Iraq "non-combat troops". An occupation in that area of the world is nothing but a breeding ground for more hatred against the west and more war.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Maybe.................I don't think it's so black and white. Yes.....they fucked up and I'll roll with you on the fact that these people are pretty corrupt....though I'm pretty sure many Senators/Congressmen actually believed the smokescreen the neocons put up. Regardless....we're probably agreed that at it's core the Iraq war was a continuation of US hegemony which both parties are complicit in.

I understand your point..... and to be honest I mostly agree with what you're saying here.

That was anticlimatic :lol:

This is a pr move meant to soften the blow a little...the reality remains that operational support for the Iraqi regime we're propping up will continue for a long time......some things are beyond party politics....this is the game of empire.
