New York City has been drinking coffee from the same iconic Greek “Anthora” cup since the 1960’s, when Leslie Buck designed it and began selling it to Greek diner owners across the city.
Buck’s original design, which once dominated the coffee cup market of NYC, is now a rare find. You can still find it in diners and coffee shops if you try to, but NY1’s Roger Clark wanted to investigate what led to the endangerment of one of NYC’s most recognizable icons and if the cup can truly ever make a comeback.
