New Job, Looking for a New Car - Which would should i buy?

I just picked up the new Acura TL 2008, It comes with everything standard... all you need to decide on is GPS or not. That being said, lay off any new purchases until you got a good amount stashed.

Mistakes:
(1) It's new job with no telling what your paycheck may or may not be, so there's no sense in locking yourself into a payment just right now.

(2) It's a new job so there's not telling if you're going to last more than a year in the business before saying, fuck it - this ain't for me.

(3) You're looking at BRAND NEW CARS! Why? It's a waste of money. 2005,6,7 are just as good and have just as good warrantees.

That said of your selections, here are my comments:
Mercedes-Benz C-Class C350 Sport Sedan - Negative. Maitenance cost are too high for an entry level car in my opinion.
Acura TL - Not a bad choice. A bit cramped on rear leg room but no terrible.
Infiniti G37 - A better choice/bargin than the TL in my opinion. Rear wheel drive, but don't let that phase you.
Impala SS - FUCK NO! It's a GM product.
Toyota Camry Hybrid - You're not going to get a deal on hybrids and it's new: See my above comments on new cars.
Ford Mustang - ARE YOU SERIOUS? You just said you needed a car to take clients around which means SEDAN or larger.
Honda Accord Coupe - Again, NO COUPES if you're serious about this business.
Caddy CTS - Not a bad bargain right now since the new one just came out. Should suit your needs, but not much fun to drive or particually well refined. Reminds me of the Cimmaron from the 80's.
BMW 3 Series Coupe - NO COUPES and maintenance for entry level car is too high.
BMW 1 Series Coupe 135i - BE SERIOUS
BMW 3 Series Coupe 335xi - BE SERIOUS
Saturn OUTLOOK XR AWD - GM, No thank you.
Dodge Charger RT - Overkill for your needs. Too much of a gas guzzler too.
Acura RDX 5-Spd AT w/ Technology Package - Not bad.
Nissan Maxima SL - Another good bargin.
Chrysler Aspen Limited 4X4 - Don't know much about this truck so I can't comment. But an SUV, while haveing lots of room, is probably overkill and hell on gas.

Makes no sense to buy a new car. Second you drive it off the lot, it's depreciated value by a substancial amount. And no my friend, you don't KNOW, that you're gonna make good money, you hope you are. You just got the job you say? Well slow down. Get like, a 2005. Used but not old, save yourself quite a few thousand.

Economy ain't too good buddy, not sure how many people are gonna be buying timeshares of all things.

It depends on what car you are taking off the lot. Certain cars have high demand (Honda), that the value does not drop that much. Take a look at autotrader and the prices some dealers are selling the car. Some of the cars are selling close to the retail of a new car. If you walk off the lot with a new Chrysler car, you will take a beating.

The first thing you have to get when buying a 2 yr+ used car is tires, most people don't factor that into the price. I had to drop money on tires the first two used cars I bought. You will also get a shorter warranty period on a used car versus a new car. To get a comparable time period, it will cost serious money, so factor what type of warranty you want to cover your car. I had my power window and seat go out on a used Dodge car.

If I was you, I would get a relatively cheap new car like the Honda Civic, don't drop $30,000 on a car just starting out on the job unless you got the money.

Audi is the luxury car that nobody knows of the 3 german brands
don't sleep - very sophisticated - and out works and out performs the BMW flagship - everyone has a Beemer or a Benz - dont go that route

thats the A8. the A6 is cool to

yeah the economy is kinda fucked up thats why i wont think of getting anything that might break my pockets until i see how the money is rolling. THATS WHY I SAY NO SOONER THAN 6MOS FOR SOMETHING NEW. Something used maybe in 90 days... and if i go used im talkin under 15,000. i dont trust some used cars, never know how they were driven... maybe even under 12k if i can find something thats aiight ... i did find a few bmws for around 11k that dont look too old, and a few benz's that werent to old either.. Im in Newport news and i work in Williamsburg so i gotta have something nice.

Yeah them audis are sick, but out of my spending budget.. The most im trying to drop on a car is 30k-35k max, I would rather spend the money on a house or condo. But that C350 or caddy CTS are the most im trying to spend. 40k is too much to drop on a car right now, when im making over 110k a year then maybe...
If ya need a vacation holla at me.

He does have a point, becuase people are trying to get fuck out of timeshares as it is these days. My girl's got one and damn if she can't sell that shit off to get rid of her debt to them.

man, like a lot of folks saying, trying to get a new car right now or in six months is not the smartest move. :smh:

i know you probably amped with the new job and dreaming about the possibilities the future holds, but 'sales' related gigs. especially stuff related to disposable income (vacations, etc.) is gonna be real shaky the next year and some change.

even if you are doin' well in six month. save that chedda for looming tsunami.

and if you're still pressed for some new wheels. lease. no need tying up too much of your money during these times.

Yeah the economy is jacked up right now but its gonna pick back up even without the tax rebates.. The real reason why the economy is so jacked is the Gas Prices bottom line.. We are a country that thrives off of oil and greed, and when we stop letting the oil tycoons like exxon, shell etc, stop the damn price gouging since we only get about 15 percent of our oil from mid east, why should gas have tripled in 11 years.. when i first moved here from NY a gallon of gas was only 1 buck, now its at 2.85 or higher.
But the economy will turn around, if people stop talking about recession and scaring people into believing that the economy is never gonna change. If it was so messed up people wouldnt be buying cars, houses, christmas gifts or anything at all. And bottom line is everything has its up and downs. So when you work hard for your money you have to have sometime to kick back, thats why Vegas is still one of the top places for adults to escape(even tho they piss money away at the casinos each day instead od enjoying a real vacation )..

But back to my orig topic, yeah if i can find a used luxury car priced right i would get one, then buy a house, then buy the car I really want.

Oh yeah, im working in a department that handles upgrades and its working with people who already own and love there timeshares, we only offer to upgrade them and explain all the benefits to them... 4 out of 5 do the upgrades so Im knowing i will be successful at it.

Young brother never buy a new car until you make your first million.

Worst investment in the world.

Nothing sadder/funnier than an aartment building with a lot full of new cars.

Meanwhile I drive my old ass great running Audi back to my 5 bedroom spread in the burbs.

Save your money, buy something that will make you money, not cost you money.

Mid Range

This ones Japanese import only though not sure how much the go for in the US but there around $24,000 in japan but import costs may push it to $35-$45,000. I Like the exclusivity of import only so I'm gonna cop this one next.

sellin timeshares? ok chief its hilarious you think your going to be flossin and buying a benz in 6 months, ya maybe 2-3 people are making good money from referrals an such, but you just starting out , c'mon dude..you'll be rockin an 02' geo metro in 6 months

Just got a new job in sales at this timeshare company and im knowing im gonna make good money while working there. I set a 6 month time frame or sooner to go out and buy another ride, my current whip is a hoptie and its not good for the job, cant take guest on a tour in my wheels so i gotta breakdown and buy something.
Im looking at these cars here
2008
Mercedes-Benz C-Class C350 Sport Sedan
Acura TL
Infiniti G37
Impala SS
Toyota Camry Hybrid
Ford Mustang
Honda Accord Coupe
Caddy CTS
BMW 3 Series Coupe
BMW 1 Series Coupe 135i
BMW 3 Series Coupe 335xi
Saturn OUTLOOK XR AWD
Dodge Charger RT
Acura RDX 5-Spd AT w/ Technology Package
Nissan Maxima SL
Chrysler Aspen Limited 4X4
**Coupes are on list cause I rarely will have to do a tour using my car.
or might hit a used lot and cop something, just wanna go new so i have less worries with maintenence.
which is the best one?

I'd go with the acura TL very low maintenance and a great overall package....i'd also recommend the infinit G35 sedan

Yeah if i go used the acura TL is in the lead, then maybe a BMW 3 or 5 series. And ive been seeing plenty of the mercedes ML suvs dirt cheap, a few acura mdx's also..
Used cars just spell headaches for me.

and to white lurker, if its possible to close a sale and make at a minimum of 1g, with 3 presentations per day, 5 days per week, and if i close 1 third of them which is 5 per week thats at least 5k per week = 20k per month plus a bonus at the end of month=30k...
now being that im just starting out i might close 2 or 3 per week which is at least 8k per month plus bonus= approx 12k per month.. do the math holmes.. and im a beast in sales top 5 producer at my last job every month for 3yrs with 25 other salespeople... Plus the MAN upstairs has my back, and is leading my way.

1600 bucks for premium leather seats.
i cant believe it has vinyl seats... just like the C230 hatchback came with Itch(fabric seatz) on its standard models...But this is still a good value.

It sounds like this guy is banking money. Just don't buy a new car with $500 in the bank, you are asking for trouble.

I never heard of selling Timeshares (House sharing with unknown people), it sounds real shady. Do you offer people a free vacation just for showing up?:lol:

Sorry babes I just skimmed through and saw alot saying Benz this Benz that...I say go with the Acura then...always a safe purchase...good car

I'd go with the acura TL very low maintenance and a great overall package....i'd also recommend the infinit G35 sedan

All other ish aside

The hottest cars on that list is the TL and the G37

Listen to them... like i said earlier.. great buy... I dont regret it one bit...

Nah bruh its not shady, its something that is geared for people that travel alot or have a family and actually goes on vacation at least once per year... If you only like to vacation once every 2 years then its not for you... plus there are other benefits of being a timeshare owner...
back to my post, yeah im looking for a used TL for now, then save up for the new TL or C350 or CTS.
