New Jay-Z "D.O.A." [Death of Autotune][CDQ]

This track makes no sense,he shouts out Kanye who's newest album/cd was peppered with that autotune so if it's death to autotune then Kanye's cd should never be played again.

Hov went for cat's throats on this one! I'm glad a big name is trying to get Hip Hop back to what its supposed to be

I think niggaz are taking this way to seriously. They said Kanye told Hov to keep it 100. So he did. Yes Hov has the power to cut shit short, like having niggaz switch from jerseys to button downs, but that was then. I to am sick of autotune, but if hiphop lets one man dictate what they can or can't do, then that is just sad. It seems like Hov & Kanye are having a friendly competition. Don't let cornball Flex hype this shit.

Damn, I didn't get a chance to make my AutoTune album yet. Man I'mma smack Hov afro lopsided! Seriously tho it's alotta people that gonna be mad cuz Hov just killed the autotune thing.

the second i heard this premiered last night i knew it was a problem.....shame on any ny head not hearing this first.:smh:

coming from one of Jay's biggest fans- track is cool.

If any new rapper would have said this shit, he would be labeled a hater, point blank period.

It's eh.

I agree with homie, but I think it's too late for all that. Hov's fanbase is getting older with Hov. These new kids 13-22 don't give a fuck what he has to say about skinny jeans & auto-tune. To them he just looks like their pops or grandpa. Even Soulja Boy was talkin about not being a fan of Jay because he was too young & didn't understand him at 16. There's a generation of lil' niggaz just like him that could care less.

Only niggaz that are gonna hear this are niggaz that already agreed with him & wasn't using auto-tune.

And regarding Hov ending the throwbacks. He said it when he was at the climax of his career with The Black Album. He couldn't do wrong. This is 6 years later after 2 albums with questionable reviews & a bunch of freestyles where people are saying he's fallin off.

Also niggaz egos aren't gonna take too kindly to stopping some shit just cuz Hov said it. It happened with the throwbacks, but it was different. I don't know how to put it into words, but it wasn't as blatant. Now niggaz are saying:

"We gotta end auto-tune cuz Jay-Z said it."

When he said that shit with the throwbacks it made people think like:

"You know maybe he's right."

And it kinda felt like their idea even though it was sparked by Hov. Now they're pushin that Hov said it so we gotta stop cuz Hov said it. I don't think 1 man will have that type of power in Hip-Hop where his word is blatantly gospel like that. Hip-Hop is too egocentric. Everyone thinks they're king or they're "that nigga" to follow one nigga that blatantly even though they do it anyway. Just don't tell them they're doing it or make them feel like they're being a follower. It's cool to be a follower in Hip-Hop as long as you don't feel like you are.

I hope I'm wrong though cuz Auto-Tune needs too stop. Niggaz using it as a crutch to hide the fact they can't rap.
